I woulda added em (as well as BME/southpaw/etc) but they weren't on the one I used

TES has some of his absolute best songs but it has some straight clunkers and also did not age as gracefully as I would have hoped imo. And also on a personal level I'm not as into the rock-rap production

he was talking bout mine I think I had it in B-tier

I always read that Em's music aged like milk and I disagree, specially when it comes to TES, it's still great.

I've never understood how tes is rock rap is drips rock rap? How about without me? Business? Literally one song samples a rock song if you really wanna stretch it hailie songs because the singing and originally sampled my guitar gently weeps and if you really wanna stretch it till I collapse but that's 3 songs out of like what 20

well it's not 100% rock-rap ofc but stuff like sing for the moment just does not appeal to me at all. it's not a bad song and a lotta people rightfully love it but it's not for me. and even if not every song has rock-rap production but it def has a rock-rap vibe overall if that makes sense?

when I say aged poorly I don't mean all of it did—just certain aspects. there's certainly all-time great stuff on there like Say Goodbye Hollywood

rock-rap isn't inherently good or bad it's not an insult. it's just not appealing to me personally.

I understand that. I just don't think that TES as a whole has really a rock vibe in it, because of 2 or 3 songs that used some elements from that Genre.

I remember some days ago people tweeted that Em's old music didn't age well and Stans immediately pulled up the streaming-numbers of TES and Curtain Call.. :emoji_neutral_face:

You might have your own different opinions but it's a fact that TES has aged pretty well. Show me another rap album older than TES with 2 1 billion streamed songs lol. It recently got into Billboard 200 again. Obviously, people still f--- with it. How is that aging badly ? Oh, yeah bc you say so. And maybe some dumb a--- so called critic does.

Is it the same when you listen to some R Kelly-s---?
The "aging" debate is more about the production and lyrical content. Not about how many people still listen to it imo.

That's why it's dumb that Stans quickly pull out the numbers instead of adressing the actual music.

I actually do think that TES aged well. There are also other old albums with beats that I'd describe as "still contemporary". Obviously they don't sound like today's music and they are old, but I actually still like them.
