Feb 5, 2022 Just relistened to Deja Vu for the first time in a year, forgot how incredible this song was
Feb 5, 2022 Yeah, why I have like 3, maybe 4 albums ahead of SSLP. Would have been mega to experience that album though for the first time as a adult and understood just how different it was to anything heard before.
Feb 5, 2022 That's funny cause I didn't know who Em was during the SSLP or MMLP eras. So yeah, all I did was listen to the albums in 02 when Without Me blew up. Do you expect me to comment on the 2 eras I didn't experience at all?
Feb 5, 2022 Bet you became a Rihanna fan when Recovery came out, that's why you never talk about her previous albums. You joined the Navy too late Supsuck.
Feb 6, 2022 Hi l'm from Poland So sorry about my English. Anyone please explain me, What that DSP is? Why did you talk that we could know about New album, when it will be sent to DSP?
Feb 6, 2022 DSP stands for Digital Service Provider. That's usually a streaming platform (e.g, Spotify) or an online store (e.g, iTunes)
Feb 6, 2022 You wouldn't believe how much replay value Slim Shady era had when talking about us non English speaking, young listeners at the time... Many of us were still weak with English at the time, and had no right capacity to really understand the lyrics. but we did understood the music, the Slim Shady style, we knew he was spitting bunch of random stuff, rhyming it goofy, being jokester, and even if you couldn't understand it, you felt it vividly. And everyone was just addicted to the simple coolness of that kind of music, constantly playing it and not understading sh-t.
Feb 6, 2022 Em helped a lot with my english. It might have been like that back in the days but it's even worse now. Now we have rappers that even the native speakers cannot understand half of the time. So...
Feb 6, 2022 Really? I don't mind that one at all. I mean, its not anything special, and just throwaway verse but he sounds okay and I dunno overall song is ok. I think numb is a trash song all the way tbh, but eminem talking about butt police <<<<<<< Another one is on that shady xv album where he talks about bubblebutts forgot the title lol. I think its w royce too?
Feb 6, 2022 That's a gross simplification of the Slim Shady era. Songs like Guilty Conscience, My Fault, If I had, Rock Bottom were just a bunch of random rhyme schemes to you? Imagine making a song about killing your girlfriend and explaining the ordeal to your infant daughter, mad creative and disturbing at the same time. Mixing elements of wit and humor with some clever lines like: "Since age twelve I've felt like I'm someone else cause I hung my original self from the top bunk with a belt" Like FUCKKKK And then, "How the f--- can I be white? I don't even exist" Also, he was a battle rapper. Some of the stuff he said in some of the verses clearly had that influence that you mentioned as being rhyming random stuff and whatnot. But I'd argue he still had punchlines much more wittier and funnier than the dad jokes he makes today. Fine examples would be songs like: My name is, c-m on Everybody, Just don't give a f--- and I'm Shady. Not a big fan of the "Around the world" song but his storytelling skills are on full display there. Now, to each his own and I didn't want to rant, but c'mon man. Listen to the s--- first before forming opinions
