Mar 10, 2022 So according to Royce, Glasshouse was done but Shady Records didn't want to release it. In the Em x Sway Kamikaze interview pt 2 (first minute or so it starts), Em claims Glasshouse had enough material to be done, but they didn't have a consensus on what material should've been Glasshouse. Royce claims the group didn't agree on a mixtape, so he went and did he own thing, which presumably lead to the other members doing their own thing. Em claims he thought they were going to finish Glasshouse, but they did their own thing and he thought they just wanted to do solo stuff. The major issue here is timelines. Royce said Shady didn't want to release the album because of Joe Budden's "beef" with Em on Everyday Struggle, which is nearly 3 years after Slaughterhouse started doing their solo projects. This conflicts with Royce's earlier statement that Glasshouse was done, THEN after Shady didn't want to release Glassehouse, ONLY THEN did they start making solo projects like PRhyme which released in 2014, 2 years before Revival even started production. Joe Budden's beef with Em and the label couldn't have delayed Glasshouse because it simply didn't happened yet. Em says Glasshouse was basically finished, just needed a little more work, and then he started on Revival. This is true, based on the previous statements made. If Royce is correct and Crook flew into town with the intention of the rest of Slaughterhouse making a bit more music, Em is actually correct on Glasshouse needing more material to be done. Royce doesn't give exact dates or timelines, though. He mentions Shady didn't want to release the album, which isn't what Em said, but he confirms and corroborates, albeit accidently, the story that Glasshouse wasn't actually done and they were still perfecting it at a certain point in time later in its development (post PRhyme I think based on the sequence of events he's telling). From an outsiders POV, this is what it looks like to me. Slaughterhouse had enough material to make Glasshouse happen. Slaughterhouse, however, didn't exactly know what material should make it, what shouldn't, and what the overall Glasshouse album was. Because of that, Shady Records didn't want to release the album. This lead to Slaughterhouse making their own solo projects, such as PRhyme. Somewhere in that span of 2 years from PRhyme to Revival, Slaughterhouse tried to make more music but due to scheduling issues and other conflicting things it just didn't happen with everybody together. Em releases WoW and Untouchable, Joe Budden trashes it, and that's basically the nail in the coffin for Glasshouse. Edit or correct me if you want, this is just what it looks like to me based off of the interview and Royce's live. It seems like Em, surprisingly, actually has the correct story here.
Mar 10, 2022 Everybody knows Glasshouse was done before Em & Budden situation. Glasshouse was done in like 2014 or something. Budden was already retired when he went at Em in 2017 after Revival. I remember many group members talkin' about how Joe was feeling like Glasshouse is too dark to release for his current mood or some s--- like that. I never heard it was bc Shady records anyway. Even after the stupid s--- Budden did, I'm sure Shady would have released the album if SH was in on it. They basically didn't wanna do it. The fact that Crook and Joell are together now making the music actually tells it all. Budden was the first problem, Royce was the second. After Budden gave up, Royce was the one who cared less. He just went with his personal music. Only 2 members in the group who actually cared about SH are back on making new music after years. It's all out there. lol. Mar 10, 2022 True but Joel and Crook making a album from it and marketing it around SH and the album title centred all around it, is pretty lame and screams a cheque to me. Fine making songs about it on the album but to make a album based around it, is corny and doing it for the drama and to gain a few more eyes on it. Budden and Royce are totally toxic and it’s funny to see them triggered by all of this but let’s call it as it is with what they’re doing with the album.
Mar 10, 2022 They did a Shady records tape though, and Em had a verse on The Massacre in the middle of the beef. If he didn't say anything back then when he had something to say, why now? It's not even personal or music (at least not yet) it's just clickbait. It's just Em getting bullied again for clicks
Mar 10, 2022 Royce the type of dude to f--- your girlfriend and say "bro she fell on my d-ck" not that I can relate
Mar 10, 2022 He's acting like he's tryna be funny at the end, but he's definitely trying to clown and son mickey even tho he had just gotten murdered by him, the whole f---ing thing was pitiful, SAY IT ON WAX YOU f---ing CLOWN
Mar 10, 2022 Nobody knows about Crook dropping outside of Eminem sections on internet message boards. I visit this forum regularly too and didn't know he was dropping until I seen your post just now then looked up his page on instagram. Not seen or heard anything about it on any hip hop pages.
