May 16, 2022 Relapse slaps. But the production can get boring sometimes. That's why I prefer Em beats over Dre. Dr. Dre has dope beats but adding more melodies to the s--- to build this up always was a Eminem thing which I love him for. Dre beats are cool but missing more variety in arrangment in many cases. I gave Relapse (Plus Refill and Leaks) a relisten today didn't listen to most of the songs for many many years. I don't even know how many years. Could be 8-10.

Every album since has been what he thinks people want from him, which is not how you should make your own art, even if the albums are good, comes across as pandering and not authentic. Relapse was its own unique thing, weather people love it or hate it. It’s a sound and idea that you can tell, that Eminem came up with and enjoyed making.
