Jun 24, 2022 There’s been rumors of a tour for a min. Curtain call 2 makes 0 sense in the streaming era. Oh, and the flow sucks for the same reasons Em’s flow has suffered for years now. He’s trying to fit way too many syllables within one bar. He needs to understand, if I’m going to rap at this pace, I am allotted X amount of syllables so I don’t have to do this elementary sporadic burst flow where he’s tripping over certain syllables because they don’t fit in the bar… Snoop’s flow is a--- on this song for the same reason
Jun 24, 2022 This is genuinely the happiest I’ve been with a Em song probably since his return from the first hiatus. This sounds genuinely like a true Em song. Him on the boards sounds good af here. Best production he’s done since TES. The hook could have been repeated but it sounds like a old school Em hook. He came with all bars and like he said no fillers in the verse. And we got something completely different from snoop in 30 years. This is genuinely a breath of fresh air and the first Em song in a very long time I wanna listen on repeat.

Jun 24, 2022 Yeah really dope, ofc Em has that deep/old/smooth voice again but ay its a chiller song about weed with Snoop so I can look over that. And ay the man turns 50 its probably his voice now. But then I listen to songs like Those Kind of Nights or Stepdad where his voice is like Classic Em. Anyway great song! Its like a better version of Premonition and that song with Kid Cudi from 2 years ago.
Jun 24, 2022 It’s in my head that he is constantly changing the pace of his flow so he can jam more syllables into a bar? It’s literally all throughout this verse. For example, “gotta contact, my contact lenses are foggy” sees Em suddenly shifting the pace of his flow to jam two extra syllables into a bar he had already established was a 10 syllable scheme… I thought Em fans lived and breathed by this sort of hardcore syllable rhyme scheme attention to detail yet this is somehow dismissed? Y’all do realize this is a primary reason why Em flows today have 0 cohesion and you don’t want to rap along with him, right? This is basic rap music stuff that Em has lost sight of
