Jul 22, 2022 Great song on its own but makes no sense being on MMLP2. Just one of the many songs that have a completely different tone and style to the overall theme, then just thrown a bunch of random songs over a time period, on too the album. Bad Guy, RoR, Berserk and Rap God are the only tracks that like feel like continuation of the MMLP theme that he was going for and what the whole album should have been built on. Rest of the album are just random songs, many great btw but don’t make sense being on there.

It makes no sense from a POV story rap. Imagine if Stan was making dad jokes and double entendres in his letters, s--- would be comical

The songs didn't mesh well with each other sonically but thematically Em was getting most things right. a------, Legacy, Brainless, So Far, Monster, Headlights, Stronger than I was, Evil Twin all tackled the theme of him revisiting his greatest album really well. He's never written an album that well thought out since tbh. Revival is what you call random songs put together.
