Jul 26, 2022 No because it’s not about sales any more. The metric of an artist now is streams and Eminem is always breaking records for that. Darkness being released as first single is because they don’t need to worry about radio, charting any more or how much a album has to sell like it used to be, before streaming era. The song was released, as well as fall and Gnat because it’s perfect song to introduce what the albums are about. They obviously know it won’t chart but Em can pick and choose what is a single or not because it’s his choice now, no need to compromise now. Surprise releases happen because that is the metric now of what an label or team is looking for as that’s when will people will stream and check it out. Sooner people realise that the better. No one is watching videos on music channels any more or listening to radio, it’s outdated and practically dead method. YouTube numbers, streams and social media is how music is judged by.

Jul 26, 2022 Not really. This compilation will cover 13 years worth of music, while the first CC only covered about six years. As much as I’d love the idea of a second CD being new music. With non/casual Eminem listeners learning about his induction, it would introduce them to his newer music.
