    More I think about it, pretty lame move to re-record the original just because of the accents and he thinks everyone hates it. Cop out move and it’s not even an 09 track any more. What’s the point. Might as well just have made new track together.

    Exactly.
    Like, for all we know he had some songs in demo stages from that era, and he decided he wanted to re-record them, to include them on Side B or sprinkle them in different projects (Side B, TES Expanded, CC, etc). Like he did with Discombobulated but then he just picked the best one for side B which probably was Discombobulated. Then JBM for TES Expanded.

    Then they decided to throw Is This Love on CC2 because he had alread done the work and wanted to treat his fans with something old but new for this compilation album.
