Aug 26, 2022 Exactly. So, my point being: Are we supposed to assume that a man that can practically rhyme every word, and come up with the craziest (and corniest) bars, can't drop deeper songs with deeper messages more often?. Out of his latest 15 collabs (more or less) he's only been able to do that once? 2 years ago?. Sometimes I don't know whether we're setting the bar too high, or if we're actually settling for less.
Aug 26, 2022 Bro 4:44 is not good. Magna Carter was way better. 4:44 is such a boring album lol. Nas had a 10 year gap of average music and has had a resurgence since 2020
Aug 26, 2022 Why can other rappers rap about the same stuff (drugs, cars, jewelry, gangs, sex) in every song and it's fine. But Em talks about the same life experiences and topics and he gets so much s--- for it.
Aug 26, 2022 Magna was mostly a---, big disappointment. I would rather bump 4:44 or even BP3 any day. I will never understand how people hate on 4:44, felt pretty special imo. And like I said I don't think a classic album has dropped since then, which is sad. And Nas took a break after Life Is Good, which was nice
Aug 26, 2022 “When temptation is almost like Satan is making you tryna Take you away from your daughters Danglin' a bunch of painkillers on ya Wavin' 'em in your face and then watch 'em comin' extra strength And that's why they make 'em in rectangular objects 'Cause that's the shape of a coffin“
Aug 26, 2022 Who's your absolute #1? Is it Eminem? Well then, that's your answer. Plus, all the other rappers that are considered GOATs probably aren't nearly as active as Em. They aren't featured in 10 songs from other artists per year. All I'm saying is, if you're gonna be this active, being featured in every other song, like every other month, at least try to deliver something that will spark conversations. Content-driven songs. Otherwise, you might as well just take a seat and only drop songs or appear in other artists' songs WHEN you ACTUALLY have something to say.
Aug 26, 2022 Let me put it this way: If Eminem is going to be featured on, let's say, 6 tracks per year, at least 1 or 2 songs should be about something deeper than just saying he's the best, or he wants the smoke, or the same redundant topics he seems to be obsessed about for the past 3 years.
Aug 26, 2022 Use this gospel beat was crazy and eminems verse might end up stacking up with some of his best oat. His vocal tonality is the only thing hurting his current material. Its too mechanical and makes it hard to connect with the wit of what he’s saying from the perspective of a listener. Look past that and he’s as good as he’s ever been. Also hilarious that ye didnt give any original vocals for this song whatsoever
Aug 26, 2022 This just ignites my hope to see Ye on the next Em album, would love to see both of them have a verse on a track in 2022.
Aug 26, 2022 it only feels redundant because it *sounds* redundant. You cannot hear any emotion. The tonality is almost wrapped around the rhyme scheme. He wants people to notice the cadence so badly that he neglects the delivery.
Aug 26, 2022 Not a fan of utg but yes for Kanye and Em and yes for Em and Drake and Wayne and fk it I could keep counting
Aug 26, 2022 Been saying this for years. It's like idc if he painted the most technically astounding painting - last supper of my little pony characters with a single stick and tissue. That's a good demonstration of skill I guess but my little pony is gay and so is the painting
