Sep 27, 2022 I listened to Cheers today for the first time since like 2009. Eminem's talent is still there but he doesn't know how to make music anymore. I would give anything for him to take some accountability for his addiction and start working with the Bass Brothers again.
Sep 27, 2022 Eh, I feel like his only real issue is concept and sonic consistency. On his last 2 albums, he had a great sound for most of those projects, with a handful of songs on each that just sound god awful. And bro can't pick or stick to a theme for an album to save his f---ing life But, for the most part, lyrically, sonically (most of the time), technically, he's been pretty f---in good. Admittedly though I wouldn't rate Kamikaze and MTBMB higher than like a 7.5 out of 10
Sep 27, 2022 i listened to this song today and thought about how his writing is relapse style but his rapping is recovery style. then i saw this post like 100
Sep 28, 2022 Spooky month is coming up!!! I’ll be dressing up as Slim Shady for Halloween!!! on the section eighty streets we don’t hand out candy, we hand out snillets!!!
Sep 28, 2022 Lmfao anyone with any sense knows this Eminem never worked with the bass Brothers since he's a clone of the original Slim Shady lol
Sep 28, 2022 And that slow track by Mary was? lol. Rihanna will probably perform a slow song too like Diamonds, Stay or Love On the Brain. If anything, it's weird cause it's a domestic abuse anthem. But that would be every love song by Em.
Sep 28, 2022 Honestly how f---ing good was eminem? His own albums, his touches and input ll over albums like cheers like you said. Grodt. The guest appearances here and there, even if he was just doing the chorus I.e drama setter. It's sad because Em doesn't know how good he actually was, how good he was musically. Such a sad waste of talent gone
Sep 28, 2022 I don’t know, I forgot Mary’s part of the performance, probably because it wasn’t fitting. Not sure why she was there in the first place with a bunch of rappers. A slow song can be fitting if it is passionate enough like the national anthem. The Eminem and Rihanna songs aren’t slow songs (except for LTWYL PT 2) so it’s not even about them being slow in the first place, you’re just putting words in my mouth. It’s the fact that they’re songs about domestic violence and toxic relationships with a dated sound. And then Numb has that s-----y verse from Em with the butt police line. Logically, it would make more sense for her to perform her own songs rather than Eminem songs. Then again, I’m not an expert on Super Bowl halftime shows and Rihanna like you are, so maybe she’s r-----ed as f--- even though she has that big cranium and will put these unfitting a--- songs in her performance simply because they were popular
Sep 28, 2022 Pop rap era is the best to perform in this cases. You know people will be singing along to the LTWYL hook and go crazy if Em shows. Mary's first track was good. Second one killed the vibe.
Sep 28, 2022 Chris brown will be there and at the end of the performance she will beat the s--- out of him, live on tv
Sep 28, 2022 Yeah. Maybe my idea that the songs have to fit the sport is wrong. I didn’t start watching Super Bowl halftime shows until The Weeknd performed so I wouldn’t have any idea what kind of songs have been performed over the many years
Sep 28, 2022 I think he’s lyrically as good as he’s ever been, if not the best he’s ever been. It’s his voice has changed too much with age etc and it will never sound as good as it used to again.
Sep 28, 2022 Pretty funny how narcissistic he was on that. He is on about 5 songs on that album, ridiculous to be that much on someone else’s album . People talk about cheers like it was A Eminem album, like this haha
Sep 28, 2022 There has been some good ones like MJ, Prince, Beyoncé, Shakira and JLo. I love The Weeknd but his set needed some guest, it was just a bad year to do it.
Sep 28, 2022 To me Side B was a new height (Side A was actually and Side B just him doing it again) On the other hand, Wayne barely dropped anything that interested me beyond first listens in years. Jay is almost like retired and his last album was sonically worse than Revival to me, SORRY, CAN'T LIE. NaS was never someone I was interested in sonically anyway but I'm sure he is still a top notch lyricist etc. Pusha T really has something going though. As far as the old rappers go, Common is the only one I'M even more interested in than I was back then, his latest stuff was dope as h--- to me. Great content, great music and pretty good lyricism too. Only one I'd put above Em among rappers might be Common in the last few years. (I might be forgetting a few people) AGain, I'M not counting relatively newer guys like Cole, Kendrick, Curry etc.
