Oct 4, 2022 People were super sure about January-February. Basically around the Super Bowl. I don’t blame people for that one since it made sense. Even Snoop and Mary released albums around that time if I recall correctly. Kendrick released a few months later. Only ones that haven’t are Em and Dre (Dre not releasing isn’t surprising though)
Oct 4, 2022 I think the main thing was that there was talks of an "Aftermath Takeover" as it was being called. It was said that Dre was finishing an album, Em was finishing, we knew Kendrick was also set to release. When the Superbowl announcement came, everyone thought that this was the start of the Takeover and we were going to get the big name Aftermath artists all dropping within a specific timescale. It all ended up being nothing apart from the performance.
