Jan 27, 2023 'Cause I hear the track and I'm starting to get f---ing amped I'm a spark plug, I'm like the car with the cables Hooked up to my f---ing back, I'm a Duracell But I sure as h--- got it backwards 'cause y'all get jumped And I'll catch the battery charge
Jan 27, 2023 Well, there’s going to be a lot more arguing because I doubt Em is releasing anytime soon. If he does, it’s going to most likely be in the summer or in the fall/early winter later this year. He hasn’t released an album in the February to May timeframe since The Eminem Show
Jan 27, 2023 Not even subjective with Ice Spice. She is f---ing awful and obvious what she is doing, to sell music. It’s toxic, sh-- and has a career because people prop her up on social media for a few retweets. There’s influx of artists like her because of this and it’s making a mockery of music and hip hop.
Jan 27, 2023 Not true since I trash popular artists all the time. Starting with a British rapper you stalked lol and you talk about Em 99% of the time, but this is an Em forum, so it’s ok Supsuck, we forgive you.
Jan 27, 2023 Music is the most subjective thing ever lol what. Most of your complaints here have nothing to even do with the quality of her music. People propping new artists up isn’t a new thing. Most people only listen to the music that is pushed to them by labels or other outside forces. It used to be on the radio and TV, now it’s social media and algorithms. If that was really “making a mockery” of hip hop, hip hop would’ve died a long time ago.
Jan 27, 2023 Oh well, none of this matters because Gracie Abrams is dropping the AOTY Good Riddance on February 24th.
Jan 27, 2023 Hip Hop is getting worse with the quality of music and this new age of Hip Hop will eventually be the norm. Hip Hop is not even close to what it was 10 or 20 years ago. The overall quality of hip hop and what is popular now is pretty awful and is killing the genre by propping artists like Ice Spice etc.
Jan 27, 2023 I think you can argue this with mainstream hip-hop but last year was really great for hip-hop if you weren't just listening to the radio. Internet is a double edged sword cause it props up truly innovative people or other people looking to make a quick hit on TikTok but neither are invalid, it just needs to be well made at the end of the day.
Jan 27, 2023 There’s no point in going back and forth. We just favor different types of rap. We aren’t going to convince each other of anything. Just gotta agree to disagree
Jan 27, 2023 Yup! Rebecca Black, Paramore, Gracie Abrams, and probably other albums I’m forgetting right now. I’ll never be able to get people to stop thinking I’m trolling about Rebecca Black lol. I’ve had one of her newer songs “Look At You” on repeat for a week
Jan 27, 2023 That’s how Gracie Abrams was for me too. I learned about her from Olivia Rodrigo. On first listen I thought it sounded fine but didn’t feel it too much. I couldn’t help but listen again, and I ended up loving all of it. I think that’s just how artists like Gracie Abrams and Rebecca Black are. It’s music that has to grow on you, it’s not designed to jump out at you on first listen.
Jan 27, 2023 Anyone get embarrassed when you hear a track using a beat from an Em freestyle and you realised it's the popular track that you didn't know? This one got me recently! f--- Dipset s----d during the battle.
