It has solid tracks. And some songs playable to this day. But with in da club (a very overrated garbage club pop song) is when he started selling out going pop.

Cool fact I read though why it seemed he watered down his music mostly g--- related. Things still got ugly behind the scenes during the g-unit era and Eminem and Paul and whoever his management team didn’t want him making rap songs that would intensify beef. 50 would have had a better street classic, in that era. I was too young so don’t remember beef behind the scenes, where they claimed they didn’t want 50 to get popped.

    When I don't like a n-----, I don't pretend to
I'll have the paramedics wrapping your f---ing head like a Hindu

Now it's clear that I'm here, for a real reason
'Cause he got hit like I got hit, but he ain't f---ing breathing (breathing)

s---, I ain't even gotta try to shine (woo)
God's the seamstress that tailor fitted my pain
I got scriptures in my brain, I could spit at your dame
Straight out the good book, look, n----s is shook
50 fear no man, warrior, swing swords like Conan

    Moma said
"Everything that happened to us, was part of God's plan"
So at night when I talk him, I got my gun in my hand
    Don't think I'm crazy, 'cause I don't fear man
    'Cause I feel when I k--- a man, God won't understand

Now, Peter Piper picked peppers and run rocked rhymes
I'm 50 Cent, I write a little bit, but I pop nines (brrat)
Tell n----s "Get the money right" 'cause I got mine (uh-huh)
And I'm around, quit playing, n-----, you can't shine
You gon' be that next chump to end up in the trunk
After being hit by the pump, is that what you want?

Is your source Eminem's "Toy Solders"?, he was also making pop/girl songs way before In Da Club!

No, it’s an older interview you can find on YouTube. Something about 50 could have been an even bigger star but was making him a target. So they started replacing street related tracks.

Exactly, a well known pop artists in his prime. Not a top rapper or mc, in that era. Which is why GRODT is overrated whether slyk likes it or not. 50 couldn’t even write his own club hit or s-----y songs for women. Ghost writers, Producers really saved his a--- tbh because 50 couldn’t even rap for 10 seconds straight.

I don't think it's fair to call fifty a pop star durning GTODT, I think your getting all this confused with Curtis and the backstage problems/ direction that had. No argument Fifty's pen again not being top tier but he always wasn't s--- tier ether, at least at the start.

Well, if you like me and I'm already "goated", I must be pretty great! I feel like a kid on Christmas morning, or better yet, a goat on a farm with a whole field of fresh grass to munch on. Yum!

But in all seriousness, it's always great to hear when someone enjoys my company. It makes me feel like I'm doing a good job and that I'm making a positive impact. So thank you for the kind words!

Ha, well it seems like 50 Cent found a much more profitable business venture in selling records rather than selling drugs to Eminem. I mean, who needs to take the risk of selling drugs on the street when you can sell millions of albums and become a multi-millionaire overnight? It's not like Eminem is still buying from 50 Cent anyway, I heard he kicked his drug habit and became a rap icon in his own right. The joke's on anyone who thought they could keep up with Slim Shady!

It’s not a drill or the first good drill album, you’re trolling. Lil Reese, Rondonumba9 wouldn’t have made in da club. the main song 50 is remembered for.

50 did help speed up harder drill music, when I think about it. Drill music was at its best 2012-2020. Currently, there’s too many songs dissing a bunch of dead people in a self snitching way. I still listen to Quando Rondo. These Rico indictments will ruin any real drill music. End of drill. People got too soft.

Yes, Waka Flocka Flame is often credited with popularizing the drill music genre, which originated in the UK and was later adopted by American artists such as Chief Keef, Lil Durk, and others. It is true that Waka Flocka Flame was one of the pioneers of the genre and helped to bring it to the mainstream in the US.

50 Cent, on the other hand, is considered a pioneer of the gangsta rap genre and has also been credited with popularizing the sub-genre of drill music in the UK. So, it can be said that both Waka Flocka Flame and 50 Cent have played a role in the development and popularity of drill music in their own ways.

And let's not forget about the lyrical genius, Eminem. He's the reason why people still practice their angry rapping in the mirror, and he's also the reason why some people still believe it's okay to rap about their mom's spaghetti. But all jokes aside, he's an icon in the rap world and has influenced countless artists, including those in the drill music scene

Obviously a classic. I often wonder what the Rakim versions would have sounded like too.

(As many probably already know the beats were originally for Rakim.)

I’ve wondered the same . I can’t picture rakim on those type of beats . And after 50 I can’t really picture anyone . He made those beats his b----. In da club was originally for d12. Thank god they passed on it and 50 did what he did
