May 18, 2023 I disagree. I’d rather have something to look forward to than be surprised. Kamikaze made sense as a surprise because a kamikaze attack comes out of nowhere. Plus for the first time in a long time, Eminem had something to prove after most people hated Revival and were doubting him. Him dropping an angry project out of nowhere being the most self-aware he’s been in a while was epic. MTBMB doesn’t really have that element to it, it didn’t need to be surprise dropped. If anything, the more surprise drops he does, the less of an impact Kamikaze has in the long run when people in the future look back on it.
