Jun 14, 2023 I knew you would react this exact way, and I find that entertaining. It’s like a little game.
Jun 14, 2023 Thoughts on this ? Ca$his should have had a Shady Records album, it would have been dope
Jun 14, 2023 I wanna make King Mathers era AI Eminem songs but I can't find any free software to synthetize his voice, all of the free ones only have his SSLP voice (plus they're trash) would be dope to recreate Keys to the City or Never gave a f--- (Less)
Jun 14, 2023 Yea he was knocking out a mixtape a month, s--- was crazy His Global Warning mixtape was great and the one with Young De too. Did you know he did songs with Kurupt and B-Real ? I just learned about it, he almost became a star
Jun 14, 2023 Lol yea not just kind of, it's even more crushing when you see him on social media being all loyal to Em and Shady Records, and them not giving a single f--- lmfao They don't owe him anything ig, but still Dude was genuinely talented too
Jun 14, 2023 You got it, but i think it's an Aftermath situation more than a Shady Records one. 2006-2010 was a tough time for the rap industry and he just didn't sell enough
Jun 14, 2023 For someone whose all about sales, cashis wasnt gonna sell f--- all. Literally no one cared about him or stat quo back in those days besides hardcore fans. Doesn't mean they were bad rappers but they had no mainstream appeal. Obie had mainstream appeal because he dropped right at the hype of Eminem mania and for cheers they had a golden ticket "chance to meet eminem" with the album when it dropped. Unless em spoonfed cashis with "spend a week with drug addict Eminem" no one was going for it.
Jun 14, 2023 They sold out every last copy of County hound EP though. If they gave him a couple features, like they did Obie, and of course Eminem production and features too, he could've made it big. If you go on TR Shady and old forums, Cashis was actually making noise. Stat too. Bobby creek on the other hand, he was a nobody. But yeah Cashis had superstar appeal, both 50 and Em said so. He never ever had a chance to release something, so you can't say he wasn't gonna sell f--- all. A lot of people worked on his Loose Cannon album, he had features with a lot of big names, and I mean a lot, if the interviews are to be believed, but i don't think he would lie on an official interscope interview LMFAO, so it would have sold anyway.
Jun 14, 2023 They just never had a chance (Stat and Cashis). They were 10 times more exciting than the dudes he’s signing now, but Em was too busy with them pills. Obie was dope, with or without Em. Em just made him popular. Stat had some great tracks, but there were way better southern artists taking over back then. And he made Em turn on him and drop him. They all could do their own thing, and be mainstream at the same time. That’s why it was working back then, just like with D12.
