Jul 2, 2023 d--- so im the only one liking the snippet ? plus he probably doesnt rap like that for the whole verse y'all are acting like all he does is rap fast, when i listen to MTBMB side a and b there's a lot of slower verses, when he wants to he can still flow like butter my guy's just having fun with his features and LL probably thought it was dope too when i listen to this type of Em verse i'm not in it for the content i just go along with the vibe and the songs are generally just fun

Jul 2, 2023 That doesn't make it okay, Em has been propped up by himself and fans to be an elite rapper who has had very distinct style changes in his career and he'll be held to that standard, especially when it starts to feel stagnant. I don't even hate the snippet that much or have a strong opinion on the song itself, it's just getting tiring hearing every feature verse have the exact same structure lol
Jul 2, 2023 I completely agree. I came to this realization earlier this year. For the longest time I didn’t truly know why I didn’t like it, then I realized a big part of it is his high pitched voice. Fast rap sounds much better with deeper voices. Eminem’s high, nasally voice rapping fast sounds like a bee buzzing in my ear.

He is 50 years old and has been rapping for like 25 years now. If he still can’t handle criticism then he should’ve quit a long f---ing time ago. Plenty of artists get their snippets and songs trashed.
Jul 2, 2023 I’ve definitely seen him drop good features within the last 4-5 years and theres been stans who absolutely hate it and some like it. Then the same where he raps weird/fast and its the same opinions regardless. He’s done so many styles/flows in his 25 year career, we all like him doing different s---. He definitely had more subject matter in the past. But he has dropped good story telling songs on his last 2 albums

Jul 2, 2023 I think that's the biggest problem tbh, people are bitching cause they know he can operate at a higher level. Just seems like he needs a lot more motivation to do it than before. Agree that he's had great features since like 2018 but recency bias and all that, hope that his recent feature output isn't an indicator for what he's gonna do on the next album.
