Aug 3, 2023 I think you're both just taking the topics at their most generic value and misinterpreting the lines tbh He's not using the Logic-kind-of "poor me I'm white y'all racist" rhetoric. He's saying you always talk about how I'm considered to be one of the greatest just because I'm white, but it may as well be the reason why a lot of people are afraid to say that I am, because hip hop is black. He's flipping the narrative And he's not just poking fun at Gen Z like everyone does or like he did on side B. He's saying you were born yesterday and you want to tell me how to rap which is a concept that applies to basically any topic that could be discussed in the world lol I think you just heard "white" and "Gen Z" and immediately thought "here we go again"
Aug 3, 2023 I believe you found the issue. I get what you're saying though, but Em mixes up his flow more than 95% of rappers. Why would you want him to change up, what sounds good? You would probably be the first to cry about his "New" sound being s---. Does Jay, Wayne, Cole etc. ever sound THAT different or have switched up their sounds as much as Em has? Kendrick does, he's not scared to experiment with new sounds and that is one thing that makes him so great.

Aug 3, 2023 That last bit's... Not entirely untrue, lol. I dislike the line not for the intentions of Eminem, because I mean, I soooort of get what he means. And I'm not saying he's screeching "REVERSE RACISM!!! LOOK AT ME, I'M THE VICTIM OF BLACK SUPREMACY". I moreso cringe at the thought of people listening to said bars, and not only having that interpretation, but allowing that interpretation to validate their s-----y ideas. As far as the Gen-Z s--- goes, Idk, I just feel like the dude is beating a dead horse at this point. Don't get me wrong, I still think tonally there is a lot of good stuff happening here. Some much needed course correction. But some of the talking points just didn't land with me.
