I’m not upset about the line, it just isn’t impressive. I don’t understand how asking him to be more clever is making him soft or an invalid criticism
Aug 3, 2023 Em's verse is definitely better than anything he's released in the last couple years. Delivery is a little smoother and confident. Still, it doesn't make me go WOW. Only two feature verses recently have made me actually think to myself "Wow," and they were Lord Above and The Adventures of Moon Man and Slim Shady. Not that I can expect a 50 year old Eminem to turn the game on its head with every release, but this is only second-tier to me.
Aug 3, 2023 Eminem never been offensive though on his early albums, that’s not the reason why he is soft or what his music has ever been about though, just the perception of critics and government eating it up, so he played along. Saying fa---- and making jokes about school shootings or massacres has always been tongue in cheek, basically what comedians do. Eminem just found a way to do that with music on his earlier albums and people couldn’t catch on as he was first artist to do what he did. Eminems lines on the genz/school shooting works because he making social commentary about it while being witty and provocative, just like MMLP was. Ariana Grande line on accommodating doesn’t work, because it’s just a shock value line for the sake of it, it misses and cheap way to get a headline.
Aug 3, 2023 Keep in mind I’ve said multiple times now that the verse is good. People only focus on the negativity though. All this arguing is taking attention away from this good verse. Just sit back and enjoy it. What Eminem said is not that big of a deal at the end of the day

Aug 3, 2023 You are correct, noticed that myself. This is definitely a joint track imo. It makes a ton of sense to just throw on both those albums, gives EZ Mil a ton of exposure if it also pops up on the eminem album. The im just playin part at the end seemed like a giveaway.
