Aug 31, 2023 'officially' is just marketing, because they want to market Side B with Side A as one album to boost sales. It's not like a dulexe because they're not spares from Side A. Em himself said in the Shade 45 special he recorded new material, like a new album, then just decided to call it Side B / fit it with that theme, since it started going in that direction. He himself said, it's a new album. A sequel, sure, but it's not Side A with a couple of tracks which didn't make it. Those tracks weren't even made for Side A. It's a sequel and a new album. Refill just some of the tracks intended for R2. He didn't wanna put the full R2 out, but wanted people to hear those and top people up so they marketed it as a deluxe Relapse - but Side B is the full sequel album put together. Call it what you want, package it how you want - it'd be like if he put out R2, but just packaged it with Relapse 1 as a double at the end of the year, and saying R2 isn't a new album still.
