Nov 3, 2023 It would be the best re-release ever. The rest of them make no sense. They aren't event that much expanded to begin with..
Nov 3, 2023 The hype for me is the "Legend of Heath Ledger" section which builds up to the top 4 part. f--- it the whole first half of the second verse is great to me. Rest is so-so but has its moments. That's why I hesitate to call it bad.
Nov 3, 2023 Had an old classmate message me on messenger today asking "is eminem dropping a new album?" Crazy what the internet does lol also funny he though id know
Nov 3, 2023 It would be cool if Eminem released what he originally intended to. Obviously he didn’t release a album during this time frame. But during 8 mile and devils night are you really going to tell me he didn’t record solo songs that just weren’t released. Surely he had songs in the vault that were better than weenie
Nov 3, 2023 Source: https://shadysyndicate.proboards.com/thread/247/official-kim-discussion-thread?page=21 I wouldn't borrow posts from a site like that. I just tried to make a thread there and got banned within 10 minutes. So closed minded!
Nov 3, 2023 MMLP2 is a very forgettable album. I remember listening to it for the first time being so psyched but came away feeling so disappointed. This hasn't changed after revisiting it either. The name alone is a travesty but the narrative that it skews the perceptions of those who don't like it is farcical. For me it's an album full of wasted potential, for example: Bad Guy - great concept, but absolutely terrible verses and execution. The two instrumentals are good and the last verse is probably the highlight of the album, but the rest is trash The Monster - the content was good here. His lyrics are nice throughout give or take a few lines. But a really bad, cookie cutter beat and a s--- hook (blatantly tries to piggy back off the success of LTWYL). Could've been great - ended up a mediocre pop song. Legacy - again, great concept, smooth flows and good lyrics (the last verse brings it down a bit). However the beat is redundant and that has to be one of the worst and laziest hooks he's ever had. God awful. Love Game - prime Kendrick on a track and this is what you deliver? Terrible song, s--- content and unfunny. The beat and chorus is crap too. Headlights - over time this has grown on me. I think it's the best song on the album and the content is amazing. But his flow is horribly choppy at times. Not a massive fan of the hook too. Just compare how he sounded on Cleanin Out My Closet compared to this, it's night and day. Rap God - obviously one of the highlights, but yet again it goes on for too long and it has the completely unnecessary Ray Jay/Mayweather "gay lookin boy" part. Also this started the whole fast rap obsession which I absolutely hate. A good song but could've been even better imo. a------, So Much Better, Survival, So Far and Stronger Than I Was are straight up bad. Brainless, Rhyme or Reason and Evil Twin are OK but overrated as f---. So yeah, there's some good moments on here but for me it was the first album in his discography not to have a "classic" song on there. My main problem is the production, hook choices and how his voice sounds on the album generally. Rick Rubin is terrible for him. His flows are too choppy, and combined with the production and his voice - it just doesn't sound good to me. Overall it's a safe, boring album, which is the polar opposite of the original MMLP.
Nov 3, 2023 Could never take this song seriously, just feels so forced and awkward. For one thing he calls his mom "yo". You'd think he'd drop the wigger s--- if he wanted to have a real talk with her after all those years.
Nov 3, 2023 I think it came from a good place, it's the most mature he's ever been. But the execution fell kinda flat and his flow was unnecessarily awkward, both of which are my main issues with the majority of the album. Good music should come with replay value and MMLP2's replay value is non existent.
Nov 3, 2023 Monster is the definition of underwhelming. Not just the vocal delivery but the lyrics are so lazy and uninspired. And people complain about the yodeling but the line that comes right after it is somehow even worse. What's with the "aggressive" delivery of the part in bold? And the way he grabs his balls in the video when he says it. What. the. f---.
Nov 3, 2023 "Music to be Murdered by" did receive positive feedback for its beats and samples. Eminem and his production team incorporated a wide range of musical influences and samples into the album, which added depth and diversity to the tracks. The album's production was lauded for its creativity and willingness to experiment with different sounds, making it a strong contender in this aspect. If you appreciate the beats and samples in Eminem's music, "Music to be Murdered by" could certainly be considered the best among the three albums you mentioned. However, music preferences are highly subjective, and some listeners may still favor the more aggressive and traditional style of "Kamikaze."
