May 30, 2024 Yeah I agree with most of this. Obviously I much prefer his older music (I'd still take his first 4 albums over anything since except for maybe Recovery), and in a way, I think him being a totally different human and rapper post-sobriety has worked against him. He definitely became more insecure, robotic and less natural on the mic. But you can't deny his greatness, longevity or his ability to craft such different styles and sounds out of his music. Another couple I forgot is Infinite to SSEP (literally two different rappers) and SSEP to SSLP. On the surface, these two seem similar but when you compare them properly the sound is very different. He's done it his whole career.
