    Spotify’s auto play AI algorithm annoys the s--- out of me. I put on the Euphoria show soundtrack and after playing through, it went from this:

    To:

    I skipped that and it went to this:

    My listening habit is maybe 50/50 hip hop vs alternative genres and yet it 100% of the time results in trash hop within a few tracks and I end up having to block artists.

    Apparently there’s no way to reset the algorithm. You have to create a new user.

    To h--- with that.

    anybody else? Know a way to mitigate?

    Same with me bro. I dunno how the radio feature works for you. I like a song and want to hear some similar music so i open the radio of that song and they show me the same tracks as recommendation every time most of them already in my library. does anybody have experience with apple music? Need a service where i can discover new music easily

    should i just listen to #COTI on repeat to at least solve the issue with hearing trash hip hop artists?

    You can try. If it doesn’t work buy the new #COTIFY music streaming service. It only includes lloyd banks discography on repeat also if you get the one year membership you get a free mixtape hoodie

    Yeah I’ve had similar problems, my playlists always show the same recommendations even after clearing them at the bottom, i just use Apple Music mostly now, save Spotify for when i want to share playlists etc.

    Spotify shuffle isn’t true shuffle neither & was specifically designed that way based off of accumulated data. i wish they’d just allow more customisation, would solve all the problems of more experienced users instead of making everyone adhere to the casual listener algorithm.

    I have apple music and barely use it outside of my own personal music I'm able to upload. What do you like apple music for that you think makes it better than spotify?

    Here are the pros of each:
    Shuffle: AM
    Lossless: AM (but not in the TV app yet for some reason)
    Cloud Personal Library: AM
    Design: AM
    Pays more to artists: AM
    Ecosystem: AM

    Remote Play: Spotify
    Optimisation: Spotify
    Social features: Spotify
    Podcasts: Spotify

    They both have different advantages, it just depends on what’s more important for your personal experience really.

    Yeah that’s a cool feature, i tend to use Last.fm as an alternative.

    I used both Apple Music and Spotify. Spotify's AI is so much better, I discovered hundreds of new songs and dozens of new artists just based on Spotify's Discover Weekly playlist. I'm thankful for Spotify. It actually helped me find the music I can like without having to follow mainstream and stuck with very very limited amount of releases. Usually gives out beautiful authentic indie, alternative, house, electronic music for me. Even for hip hop, I usually get jazzy stuff that I have never heard before. I don't think there was anything remotely like Discover Weekly on APple Music anyway.

    Spotify’s auto play AI algorithm annoys the s--- out of me. I put on the Euphoria show soundtrack and after playing through, it went from this:

    • Atmospheric and moody tracks perfect for the show's vibe
    • Transitioned to completely unrelated pop songs
    It ruins the listening experience when you want to stay in a specific mood. Anyone else facing this issue? Any tips on how to keep the music in the same genre or style? I’ve tried tweaking the settings but nothing seems to work. Any help would be appreciated!

    Labels keep using payola on autoplay and it’s so annoying. It’s why I usually just make my own playlists. But sometimes at work I just want a shuffle of songs curated to my algorithm, and yet they still add random songs and genres I never listen too

    Discover weekly is usually better than their auto play, I've found a few great artists from it

    Apple Music has social features now too I see no reason to use Spotify with their awful UI changes & pants sound quality lol

    I don't use it as such. I mean if I listen to an album, after that I won't let it play anything randomly, I choose a daily mix to play. It really creates some nice daily mixes for me, combining some songs I already liked and some songs that I haven't heard yet and might like.
