Jul 7, 2024 Bingo. No one's making out that it's an absolute classic, and questions about theme are fine cos he genuinely don't know til it comes out - But the idea that it's some big mistake is silly. The fact they've dragged putting out the video, and it's a collab song with one verse shows that it was to tide us over, which it's done, as it's probably the first Em song in a fair while that has been embraced by the general rap public. I go on forums that mostly dislike Em, or watch YouTubers that aren't fans, and they're pleasantly surprised. Don't get me wrong, would I have selfishly wanted a 3 verse Em song with him on the hook - Yes. But my assumption is that either those kind of songs he has don't work out of the context of the album, or like i've said, he's got a potentially big single that he's going to embrace as the album comes out to keep those numbers consistent.
Jul 7, 2024 Songs released before the album (and before the album leaked) The Eminem Show = “Without Me” & “Say What You Say” Encore = “Just Lose It”, “Encore”, and “Mosh” Relapse = “Crack a Bottle”, “We Made You”, “3 AM”, and “Old Times Sake” Recovery = “Not Afraid”, “Won’t Back Down” MMLP2 = “Berzerk”, “Survival”, “Rap God”, “Monster” Revival = “Walk on Water”, “Untouchable” Kamikaze = “Venom” MTBMB A & B = none TDOSS = “Houdini”, “Tobey” Em doesn’t usually put the meat and potatoes of the albums content as his pre album releases outside of “3 AM” and “Not Afraid”
Jul 7, 2024 h--- no. I also just noticed the pic you used of her shows another mans spunk dripping out her mouth, which completely cancels out the t-ts aspect of the pic. Does that turn you on?
Jul 7, 2024 And that songs was on the album despite not being a single before the album release ; TES : Sing For The Moment,Till I Collapse,Business, Superman ENCORE : Mockingbird,Like Toy Soldiers,Love You More,Never Enough Relapse : Stay Wide Awake,Same Song And Dance,Hello,Deja Vu,Underground,Beautiful Recovery : Cold Wind Blows,Going Through Changes, Space Bound,No Love Revival : River,Castle,Arose,In Your Head,Believe
Jul 7, 2024 Idk why people are getting upset, his singles have usually been some of the weakest songs on his albums. Plus Houdini and Tobey are both dope songs.
Jul 7, 2024 With limited information other than the 2 songs and album placements - I'd imagine he spends up until Houdini as Slim Shady. Then on track 11/12 he gets killed. Then the rest of the album is about what's next. What does he want to rap about, what influence can he have on the hiphop/Detroit rap scene, what will his legacy be, how does he sum up his run as Slim Shady. In essence, first half giving people what they want from his alter ego, second half fully shedding that alter ego and looking to the future. Or he could do an Eminem, and claim a concept album when it's not even close. But i'm hoping for the first.
Jul 7, 2024 Venom came the same day as Kamikaze, it was a surprise release, and the view seconds teaser doesn't count, it also was a view hours before.
Jul 7, 2024 Yeah I'm hoping for something similar too But I'm afraid Eminem is too ADHD to stick to a script.
Jul 7, 2024 The only thing that gives me hope is the talk from insiders of him going back to old stuff, the production allegedly involved, the fact he's gone for this title, and that he's spent 3 years working on it. In reality, if it's the theory i've said, all he has to do is keep to a concept for like 10 tracks. If he does Slim Shady for half the album and kills him in a song, then no one can say that they were lied to by the title. If he does that, he can do whatever he wants for the second half, as, in theory, it'll be him looking at loads of other topics and styles after being freed from his alter ego.
