When you making a concept themed album like Relapse and TDOSS, need to go all in and trust your vision. Relapse and TDOSS are better than MMLP2 and Kamikaze but if he fully trusted his vision, then it would add another notch to those albums instead of it being a dint, because you’re afraid people might not like the album.

Jul 12, 2024 I agree. His two songs about his daughters are uniquely structured. Last song almost feels like a sample featuring Eminem, instead of vice versa. And I don't know.....it seems like we've heard this message from Hailie's Song, to Mockingbird, to When I'm Gone, to Going through Changes, to Castle, to Arose, and it's just changing lyrics up. I do love the audio footage on Temporary and thought for Skylar she did good on the hook. I would have preferred him have a more modern touch, talking about her graduating college, happily married, and proud of how she's grown up and the young woman she's turned into, instead of being so down on himself. Obviously she turned out pretty great, and he did a great job too. I think that would have been a better angle to go at it.
