Jul 12, 2024 I really think we got fooled by Brand New Day, Renaissance and some throwbacks here and there. There isn't that much old Em voice or flow on this album. It is new style just with occasional throwbacks. A lot of cool layering is reminiscent of older albums too. However, there is as much of emulating his old style as freshness on this album. I don't say it to criticise the album. To me it isn't a bad thing at all.
