Jul 13, 2024 Album has gone up to a 9 for me. Rapping, back and forth s--- is so good. I like what he trying do with the persona and making the character feel like a thing of his past. Somebody Save Me is the only big flaw for me. The song is pretty bad, pointless and done a variation of it before and executed much better. It’s the ending song so it stands out more. Hopefully he doesn’t continue making more music like that as cheesy rock samples is cancer.
Jul 13, 2024 I rated it a 9 yesterday after the first listen and I don't regret it at all. Not one bit.
Jul 13, 2024 Can someone please tell me - in terms of the whole album concept, did slim shady actually die or was everything a "dream" up until the end of guilty conscience 2, and then the tracks after were just normal songs separate from the concept (because the dream was over)? Only listened through twice so not sure if I took it all in or missed anything.
Jul 13, 2024 I think it's up for interpretation. Marshall does zip up the body bag. But we don't really get a *Slim Shady dies beyond reasonable doubt* song- My opinion, is that Em made this album to test the waters. If it flies we'll see more of this type of content, perhaps without the old voice, but still attacking all the woke BS.
Jul 13, 2024 con con content on the continent constant compliments confidence con con con conference conquered con con con
Jul 13, 2024 for sound I wouldn't mind more s--- like this, that would be great, especially if he stays with Dre or 2 or 3 producers for a whole project as for content, if he really has nothing else interesting to say without Shady (as proven by the last quarter of TDOSS unfortunately) then he should probably stick to fictional stories or concepts, HE CAN DO IT, Stan never happened, My Fault never happened, some examples past his prime that come to mind are pretty much 90% of Relapse, some s--- from BME, Darkness (although it's based on real events) Stepdad (s--- song but it's still storytelling) and I'm sure there are more but I can't remember them right now I'd rather he experiments from now on than getting rehashed concepts from his prime and "post relapse - pre revival" era Besides, if there's a time to experiment is when you're past your prime, you know making hits is gonna be hard and your fanbase is so f---ing huge that you will never EVER satisfy everybody, might as well try something that means something to yourself rather than try to get on everyone's good side
Jul 13, 2024 Just a metaphor that he doesn’t need that persona anymore and has closed that chapter of his career.
Jul 13, 2024 Eminem zipped the body bag but you can't k--- a demon its inside you... I think the point was you can't k--- slim shady . People want hi. Gone but there's a core that needs him
Jul 13, 2024 my gf likes eminem. she like me thought the album was really bad.she was disapointed with it she likes eminem. it is such a lackluster album I think it harms his legacy for me. This is not hating or trolling we got not great songs on here at all. A great wordsmith but not a great artist. He isnt really able to construct a great album at all. the disses are just cringeworthy nothing about influential just poking fun at easy targets.
