Jul 16, 2024 His reasoning is s--- and him just trying to be funny and like all the white reviewers, its trending to hate em for them. it’s a lil pick me. Even though we know for a fact Fantano wouldnt be listening to hiphop without Em, but keep in mind. This guy rated Vultures 1 ”unrateable ” so a 5 is good in his world. I just know a 5 is lowkey an 8. He has to subtract 2 because he needs to show he dont like white rappers and then subtract 1 to be edgy with the kids. if this album dropped right after the eminem show it would have been goated by the critics.
Jul 16, 2024 Oh wow ppl actually care about reviews? I have said this years ago, due to internet and rise of social media, reviews is an outdated concept that should be cancelled, before you used review to determine if something is good…now you can see the general consensus on anything you want if its difficult for you to just try it if you can just try it easily and freely like music..why care about reviews?
Jul 16, 2024 So? Em’s big single is Houdini and we don’t even know where it’s at at this point. It’s not like she’s gonna block him.
Jul 16, 2024 I think the funniest criticism I see with eminem is people say he's not saying anything blah blah blah JID didn't say much in his verse either(I'm not hating I like JID) But he gets praised
Jul 16, 2024 Oh, well then Paul needs to stop pushing merch ever 5 hours and actually drop a video or post more on TikTok of Marshall actually doing something. Like imagine if Marshall actually got on social media himself
Jul 16, 2024 People need to understand that the only big hit if this album is Houdini and it already had its run before the album. People won’t bump it that often anymore. Tobey also had its run before the album. Album is good, but it doesn’t have much replay value if you don’t play it in full and casual fans won’t bump the album over and over again. Only one digital version out and no physicals until September. Even so with no big features and Houdini having it’s run done, it’s doing Side A numbers (with a lot if promo and the 2 digital exclusives from Eminem.com). If side A had Darkness and Godzilla out before the album it would’ve done way less. Like it or not, juice carried that album’s streams. I think the comparison point should be side B which did under 100k with a video release and no promo. I’m kinda surprised he did these numbers with a pure hip hop album and no pop or big features. My only concern is the money they invested in the promos. Hope they won’t get back to drop with 0 promo (and album all over the place with random outtakes) because they didn’t recover the investment. Something tells me they don’t care that much, though. The physical releases are 2 months away. If they were that desperate for charting, they’d release them day one. also they might be conscious that the pre-revival numbers won’t ever come back. Maga heads are a cult and they don’t forget. With kamikaze everyone wanted to see what he had to say and it was a radical change in style. He rode the hype and did 450k.
Jul 16, 2024 They are selling the album. Tobey just dropped, I wouldn’t be surprised if the next single is the one with Jelly.
Jul 16, 2024 I’ve been saying JID didn’t say anything, but ppl hyping up that verse because of cadence
Jul 16, 2024 Most people flinging opinions about rap these days don’t actually respect or have any background knowledge of hip-hop as a genre, they just meat ride anyone who’s good for the optics on the internet. It’s just another genre of music to them like pop, rock, indie etc. not an intricate art-form that transcends music. The consequence of becoming mainstream I guess.
Jul 16, 2024 on GC2 you get the layered slim vocals that sound so much like Eminem show era then immediately into the CRINGIEST bars on the album.... the Shakiras a---/mira lax bar I might get jumped for saying this but GC2 is good but not great
