Jul 16, 2024 Hahahahaha naahhhhh man, not even Em would agree. Chill. This album is dope and he has sick lines but he has lost the ability to know what a good song needs. Kendrick knows that in his core. This is why Em still end up with corny lines and some weird dynamic in his song. He isnt making any real impact, only on his fans with this one which is great. But in all honesty, there is just enough times you want to hear a Hailey, about ”Dont cancel me” and about why he is the goat. Just walk the talk instead. make impactful music, bring new things to the culture, give a voice to the ones you used to give a voice to, the misfits, the outsiders, the rebels, the loners. Give them fighting music, to retake their passion, to commit to society etc. Just not giving a f--- and being yourself. this album kind of does it but in a lil cringey way sometimes. But This is why its his best work in a decade. but its FAAAR from good kid mad city, d---, tpab… or even mr morales, kind of tied with mr morales maybe but morales wins in impact and being a voice for his people maturing
Jul 16, 2024 Evidence swept clean With extreme lengths and steps being took to suppress things (Why?) Try not to get seen With Ben Affleck, me, and Seth Green hangin' on to the left wing Of Jeffrey Epstein's jet screamin', "Hey, don't forget me" (Haha) Shady as Bill, takin' the pill and putting it in your soft drink (Ah) Something's off and I don't know what the cause be
Jul 16, 2024 It's basic customer satisfaction knowledge. You should get 8 or higher. But whatever, a 5 is bad however you put it. I wouldn't settle for a 5.
Jul 16, 2024 We need em to be the voice for white people the way kendrick is for black. This should have been his mr morales, talking about growing up conflicted as a white kid. Instead he just tries a bit too hard to be respected by those who will never accept him. (Which tbh would be an album concept in itself, storytelling about trying hard for those who never accept u)
Jul 16, 2024 Man this album has crazy replay value. It's going to be an all time great in his discography.Production, lyrics, flows,Hooks everything is A game.
Jul 16, 2024 He already did that on Yellow Brick Road. Also come on, Kendricks recent biggest hit isn't even his album but a diss against some guy, so the cultural impact seems seriously overstated.
Jul 16, 2024 One song… which was a great song! Now nuance it to an album Anyway, thar song had one of the biggest impact on the culture, did you miss the popout in LA? The music video? The fact that real hiphop is back again. anyway, after all you are commenting in a forum named section80 and not yellowbrickroad so, That’s some impact
Jul 16, 2024 What thoughts is this album provoking? To kick a midget, s--- ur own d-ck and k--- ur schitzophrenia? i mean I could agree if he entered a poetic metaphor making the concept that we all have a slim shady, with thoughts we dont say, actions we dont do, and what happens when we let our inner thoughts and our slim get the best of us? Well school shootings, assassination attempts, you get cancelled, you lose ur job etc so u need to battle urself etc etc etc cool that would be thought provokign. Now its more of an incredible tribute to himself and all fans, Done in an innovative way that will, if lucky, create some domino effects in how people can use ai creatively in albums like this.
Jul 16, 2024 Kendrick is by far the better rapper and artist right now. I’m not even a huge kendrick fan. But it’s not even f---ing close. Even his live performances blows away anything Eminem could do at this point in his career. His diss song had more of an impact than Eminem had in ages. A f---ing diss song. You know how hard that is to do? To make a diss song a summer anthem? The creativity and genius that goes into that alone puts him way beyond Eminem at this stage in his career.
Jul 16, 2024 It's not like Kendrick came up with the term and not like there is some other specific "white" experience Em could use for a track. And something as universal as Lose Yourself had a pretty decent impact, not to mention Stan coining a new term. Just kinda shows that the former isn't appreciated anymore.
Jul 16, 2024 But they gon' do me the same as DaBaby with all of this s--- (why?) Chappelle and Colin, they're callin' Shady misogynistic While raisin' three daughters, two graduated from college with honor Summa c-m Laude, my sense of humor is probably twisted It's painfully obvious TALK YO SHITTT
