Jul 18, 2024 Like my s--- should replace road rage .. last verse is nuts And … my dad died … still on my bad side haha
Jul 18, 2024 Anyone with a brain is going to go where the money is. They will be paying a ridiculous amount for him to perform, just like they do with sports.
Jul 18, 2024 I'm glad he still performs. I was really convinced it is the end for him as a performer besides short gigs like the ones for Michigan or the Hall of Fame.
Jul 18, 2024 Okay, so here almost a week later, I give my first thoughts on the album. Only time will tell how this will rank, but it has a chance to rank very high behind his classics. One of his better albums for sure. it's still better than Relapse, Recovery, MMLP2, Revival & Kamikaze for me, although those albums have bigger songs. MTBMB is difficult to rank since it is a double album as much as Side B has its weaknesses, it has great hooks all over the album. Pros - Production is top-notch - it's the first album since Relapse that feels like a classic Shady/Em album - his most nostalgic album since Relapse - the old voice is back and proves that is what I missed and was the problem, especially on Side B - great concept for the first 13 tracks - you can listen to the first 9 songs without skipping anything - I always find some new things while listening to the album - Half of it is produced by Em and Evil also sounds like an Em beat but is done by other producers - Bad One beat is on TES level production-wise for me it also reminds me of something Jeff Bass did for King Gordy - Evil is my favorite song! (Nonetheless, of its little flaws it has) - album tracks are better than the bonus tracks - he really causes emotion again with a song like Temporary - the album has many easter eggs - Bizarre is on the album with a nice verse - this will probably even grow more on me with more listening - great hooks by Em, especially the bridge on Habits - only 1 female hook, on the album. The last time we had that was Relapse - We got an Encore leftover (Brand New Dance) on this album, 20 years later is a big plus for me, although the song is mid for me, but hearing him like that oh my gosh Cons - Why the f--- I can't buy this g.d. CD!!!? - Too many features - Too many hooks not done by Em himself - no angry/screaming voice Em on this album at all!!! Imagine Bad One with that voice in the last verse - Bad One (Which could be my fav) with the same problem I had with Higher (and most of Side B ) It has a super great beat but Em raps to calm and bored, I also don't feel his flow at some parts but yeah, it is still better than on Side B with better mixing. I wouldn't call his voice too monotone here though. Still a great song, maybe my second fav, not sure yet. - It's really a wasted opportunity! - he f---s up some of Evil by putting a filter on it in the last verse, he did the same mistake on Good Guy & I Will, well it worked on the song with Snoop though, also wish the drums would hit as hard in the hook as in the 2nd verse where it really sounds 10/10 as a whole with that old voice and flow. - he put Tobey on the album - the bonus tracks are weaker than the album tracks ( You also can see it as a Pro) the pros outweigh the cons still all in all a super great album! I hope there's a side B coming by the end of the year. This album increased my hunger for more.
Jul 18, 2024 You know the line when he says he was bullied called names so he did the same thing? Imagine a line afterwards saying ”exactly like Israel now comitting genocide ” or something. It would be spitting facts but would cause mayhem. I miss Em causing mayhem
Jul 18, 2024 I can see Em performing the first verses of Evil, Lucifer and Renaissance. Plus Houdini and Tobey. These are the songs that seem performable the most to me. Even if he puts out MV for Somebody Save Me, I don't think he will perform a song which is directly about/to his daughters ever again.
Jul 18, 2024 steongly disagree, I think he will play somebody save me a lot. And Jelly will most likely do a couple of guest appearances
Jul 18, 2024 We will see. I doubt it af though. And, tbh, I believe there is a strong change he will perform only Houdini anyway.
