Jul 22, 2024 Antichrist just too good. Been on repeat for two hours. The mix of his MMLP writing mixed with his modern style is so refreshing. Hopefully he continues writing like that.
Jul 22, 2024 Not sure about a positive album, but would like to see his 4.44. I have zero clue what that would look like, as he doesn't do the same stuff as Jay, generational wealth, buying property, black struggle, etc. I just think a more mature album is his only other avenue bar BME, as he can't do any more Slim, he's creeping closer to 60, and he is becoming more of a legacy act as time goes by. Humour and up tempo songs are still fine, but if say at 53 he's still doing stuff about acting 8 and killing prostitiues, then it may undo all the good work of TDOSS, as this was the last time it'll work given the concept.

Jul 22, 2024 he just loves to rap, even with this album where the concept was executed fairly well I think, he was just using it as an excuse to do something different while still rapping his a--- off and throwing anything in there to make punchlines and go crazy. even with MTBMB the "concept" was an excuse to rap. murdering rappers and beats. what concept is that? if he ever goes back to something like Recovery it will be closer to a much better executed Revival
Jul 22, 2024 His issue is, he spreads these "mature" songs on all his projects since Recovery MMLP2 - Headlights Revival - Bad Husband/Castle/Arose Kamikaze - Stepping Stone MTBMB - Darkness/Leaving Heaven TDOSS - Temporary/Somebody Save me/GC2 kinda too Idk if there is anything else to talk about, he's closed pretty much every chapter now
Jul 22, 2024 I think he should do a story album. Not about himself but just made up. Sit down with a few bookwriters. Make up some stories and rap them. Lyrically he's better than ever. He just ran out of things to say.
