Jul 21, 2024 Yeah, fortunately, people use music reviews just to confront their opinions. Reviews are more important for films, as it takes some time (and money, if you got to the cinema) to see a film. We choose them more carefully. With music, we just press play on Spotify. Usually I find critics' opinion on films a good indication what I should or should not watch. Sometimes even a negative review can make me watch a film if it is well written and the writer makes their points clear. Looking just at the numbers (ratings) is not a good idea, as films have low rankings for different reasons. Some bad films are just fun too.
Jul 21, 2024 Agree to an extent but with movies its (mostly) the same for me too. It all depends on taste. Some movies are praised by critics but the general public hates it. So what if the filming is done really well from good angles and s--- if the story sucks a--- lol. And other movies are trashed by critics while most people love it. I rather ask @jankland @DiggleDogg69 @M Solo etc for their opinion on a new horror movie -because of their taste for the movies- than some random dude or girl that writes for a living. For the record I don't think people who write about movies or music are s-----y in general, some people can write great reviews and give good insights on certain topics which is great. But it doesn't make me enjoy or not enjoy it any less or more. I just think its hilarious when people back up a statement with 'well, x critic likes it too!!'

Jul 22, 2024 Maybe unpopular opinion but I think albums don't need replay value to be great I think MMTBS has horrible replay value, but it's easily in my top 3 favorites of all time. It's an experience

The somber beat, the haunting chorus, the "ROAD RAGE", Eminem sounds really good I hate to be that guy, but I truly feel like those who don't like it, are the people who the song applies to. That line "can't tie your shoes, hard to reach em" is so f---ing sad, I can imagine a few people that heard that line and it really hit them in the heart, and they went "f--- this song" "But intercourse would you? Would I have? No I'm just being honest Now I'm an a------ Call me a transphobe Cuz I just can't go And try and pretend you was never a man tho" Great lines here as well.
