Jul 27, 2024 For once I actually agree with Marsh, there was some good material to come out of Donda but the release version is pretty bad. Terribly sequenced and has way too many songs, then he dropped the deluxe with an even stupider tracklist than the original (which LOTP is on if I recall correctly I only listened to it once cuz it's like 40 songs or something lol). But yeah I'd add Life of the Party and Off the Grid to that list and I also like Pure Souls, Remote, and Junya.

So Marshall Mathers comes out to start the album with Renaissance and it’s obvious he’s going back in time here on this album bringing it back with this classic opening freestyle type track. Then Slim Shady “kidnaps him” and takes over the album right from track 2 until he is killed off in Guilt Conscience 2. (This all just happens in his head of course as his muiltiple personalities battle eachother) Marshall wakes up from his “dream” now the rest of the album doesn’t fit anymore because it wasn’t part of this album, it was part of the album that Marshall started with Renaissance. There is a huge chunk of that original album missing because slim shady took it over and it got distorted. (this whole album is actually all 3 of his personalities arguing back and forth if you pay close attention he raps as Marshall, Eminem and Shady throughout the whole album passing the mic back and forth) Me and my bro think it’s possible that we are still going to hear the original album as it was intended and then voila all of a sudden the back half of the album will make sense again. Way too cool to actually happen though right? I don’t know anything is possible after TDOSS fire album.
