Em's acting a lil hammy in spots but mostly great and natural; P amusing here n there and kind of cool how he used it to just like DEAD (hopefully) all these same discussions and fan - and critic murmurings: - outdated references - just angry at everyone - same old schtick - only 1 era that mattered etc. (thas p damning self-aware lol) All the s--- he said in it. I mean, we know he knows this s--- - but just saying it here like this flat-out just makes him look more self-aware to everyone, can't really deny it. Though, I kinda wish some of this, more was... like, album material, like, more back n forth n s---... bc when you think about it, the album... is mainly just 'a bunch of s--- talking tracks and a few serious ones', which is what he does mostly every album anyway lmao. I mean, yeah it's threaded with the skits, references and GC2 but... he didn't do as much with the concept as I'd hoped. Also, - him acknowledging some fans think Relapse is a classic >>> - the Curb (your enthusiasm) stare / reference at the end >>> -- IF he really is done with all this, i.e. provoking and just, his usual s---... and he comes super fresh and surprising next album; this whole era will look all the more brilliant for it. I just can't see how he can do anything else, or, not swear or provoke lol, I mean, it's his personality, it's not some invented persona like he's pretending here; THAT exaggerated is, yeah, but in general - any time he swears or is angry or provokes to any degree... we just think 'Shady!', so, don't get what he's gonna do. We'll see. -- I think he thought of this whole concept because of perhaps noticing how no matter how hard he tries lately he's not getting the reaction he wants through provocation too. Like he said so much s--- on side a n b and barely caused any offence or headlines like I bet he thought he would. So he probably thought 'okay, let's maybe truly dead this whole vibe finally'. Who knows. Let's see!

The only people that seem to get pissed off is other Hip Hop artists. I think the biggest shock line in the album for me was the Lizzo line, "It isn't over until Lizzo sings".

There is no concept, songs barely feel connected and just because there are a couple of skits does not make it a concept album. Relapse is a concept album, this is not even close to being one.
