Aug 4, 2024 Finally got around to finishing the second half of this album and man this is his worst album by far, it's not even close. This s--- is beyond lazy even by late career Kanye standards, like 5:30 I'm pretty sure is just the same unfinished leak from a few years ago, he didn't even bother to finish the mumble bars in the second half. Shame cuz I think the part on the first beat is pretty good. Only other song I like is Sky City which is also a leak from like 5 yrs ago lol tho he did actually record a new verse for it
Aug 4, 2024 Look, I actually really liked Vultures 1 but holy s--- Vultures 2 is BAD. Listening to this last night legitimately put me in a bad mood. It actually pissed me off. There’s some songs on here that I like but they aren’t good enough to make up for how bad songs like HUSBAND are. Then he had to ruin the second half of LIFESTYLE by repeating HUSBAND again. I don’t know why he thinks he can sing like The Weeknd. Then he had to ruin the song with the Young Thug verse. Then he has songs that are YouTube rips and AI verses. Absolutely atrocious. Vultures 2 is possibly the worst album I’ve heard all year. 3/10
Aug 4, 2024 I kinda agree with Ripper. I know Vultures 1 is pretty unpopular on the forum, but as a Ye fan i thought t was pretty good. The mixing was questionable and Ye’s verses were pretty bad aside from BURN, but I liked the project overall. Vultures 2 is just embarrassing. It’s honestly really confusing. A lot of the songs that ended up on V2 had better versions previewed literally more than half a year ago (especially River, TMS and My Soul). Every single choice made for this album just makes no sense. The mixing, taking the original V2 cover and deepfrying it, 8 second interludes, having Husband basically appear twice. V2 literally had songs that could’ve outshine most of V1 and they’re replaced for…. this. At this point I really don’t know if anybody is looking forward to Vultures 3 (which knowing Ye, might just die on the vine)
Aug 4, 2024 To all the people who don’t want to bother listening to the album (I don’t blame you) here are a few bullet points on how much of a shitshow the album is: - Mixing is really bad on most of the album (My Soul is literally panned to the left) - The Portishead sample on Field Trip wasn’t cleared, so the biggest hit on the record might get Ye sued -Isabella is a skit that’s less than 8 seconds and is replayed later on the album anyway - Husband is almost entirely reused on Lifestyle for no reason - BOMB literally sounds like a shitpost. legitimately one of the worst songs to ever make it on a kanye album - 530 is literally just a youtube rip of a song that leaked two years ago. Kanye literally couldn’t even reuse one of his own songs - Sky City is a Yandhi leak that Kanye added an AI verse about Jews on. Apparently the album is being “fixed” TLOP style, but there’s no fixing this
Aug 4, 2024 @Yeez @Ripper Roo Vultures 1 is a very flawed album and I don't love a lot of it but it's the first Kanye album that's felt cohesive and complete from a sonic standpoint in nearly a decade. It felt like the sound and tracklist were purposeful and deliberate even if wasn't necessarily all successful. Vultures 2 is just devoid of ~anything~ tying it together—no purpose, no vision, no overarching sound, nothing to say, no nothing. It sounds like he picked 16 random files off his computer and put them on shuffle
Aug 4, 2024 I completely agree. I actually liked Vultures 1 better than Donda for this very reason. Plus CARNIVAL was an absolute b-----r to me. Vultures 2 doesn’t have anything that hits that hard for me except for maybe FIELD TRIP Again, I 100% agree. Took the words right outta my mouth
