Aug 16, 2024 every Sony movie has been a--- but it’s kinda cool seeing more villains become popular for us non comic readers, ese
Aug 16, 2024 No Sony villain movie has been good and it's not going to start now, would be very funny if it was somehow incredible though
Aug 16, 2024 the *amazing spider man 2 game, and even in that instance he was kinda a--- for such a cool villain (unless you're talking about the new spiderman games idk I havent played those or seen anything from those)
Aug 16, 2024 Both Groundhog Day and So Much Better should be nowhere near TES lmao Gd is cool but no.
Aug 16, 2024 Raimi saved that movie from being a complete dumbster fire. That movie was rewritten multiple times during production so its no secret that the structure is a absolute mess. But in terms of its look and vibe its 10 times better than the usual assembly line style crap we get from the MCU (especially post Endgame). Jon Watts Spiderman movies are the perfect example of that. Soulless directing with 0 sense of cinematography. I once made the terrible mistake by watching Matt Reeves "Batman" and then shortly after Spiderman Far from Home. Its like wild how terrible these movies look compared to a movie like Batman.
Aug 16, 2024 I don’t think he saved much when it came and went tbh. Guardians and Deadpool are the only ones doing good
Aug 16, 2024 Multiverse of Madness made almost a billion dollars, and box office has nothing to do with quality.
Aug 16, 2024 No Way Home had some cool ideas visually with the Spider-Sense panic in Happy's apartment but overall Jon Watts doesn't really have sauce I agree, I don't think he's a terrible director either but it feels like Marvel gets smaller directors to force their hand on what the studio mandates. That's partially why I'm more excited for the future of DC, movies like The Batman, Joker (whether you like it or not it's unique to the genre and well shot), The Suicide Squad, etc. It seems like they are starting to let some directors add their own flavor to s--- recently. And with James Gunn working at Marvel for years just to leave and run the competition I hope it allows them to avoid the same pitfalls as Marvel.
Aug 16, 2024 I've listened to Lucifer and all its sick lines about cannibalism and it occured to me how awesome it would be for Em to make a concept album from the perspective of a Cthulhu acolite or something like that. I remember somebody here suggested that after the album inspired by Alfred Hitchcock, he should make an Edgar Alan Poe themed album. I agree it could be awesome. So would be a Lovecraft-themed one. He could get rid of the Shady persona, and still write weird, sick lyrics. I am kind of puzzled how someone so creative with flows and altering his voice as Eminem struggles so much to be creative with the content. The MTBMB interview where he shouts authentically confused "what do you want me to rap about?" returns in my nightmares.
Aug 16, 2024 Who cares about this chick? She looks so fake. Plastic surgery at such a young age is wild.
Aug 16, 2024 d--- tDoSS is so well structured up to gc2. And so f---ing good. I got bored or get bored in periods but just re listening properly rn... It's very top tier Em. And more structured than even initially seems. Just little details like on Evil 'these are my first thoughts / first shot of Johnny walker' or w.e he says. Normally that'd jus be random Em rambling but in the context of the album, of 'Shady taking him hostage / coming back to life... Through relapsing. In case anyone didn't catch that, this is basically relapse 2. He is relapsing into shady through alcohol and drugs.
Aug 16, 2024 STIW is lowkey worse than most tracks on Revival. I really enjoyed MMLP2 when it dropped, but I still remember how shocked / embarrassed I was when STIW came on. just a terrible song.
Aug 16, 2024 I still rate TDoSS highly but I'm very excited about where he goes from here for the next album
