Sep 13, 2024 Honestly, outside of the new vocal sample and maybe a little change to the snare it sounds mostly the same. I'd probably more attribute it to the vocals being so f---ing prominent and in your face that it just isn't mixed well with the beat. You could also be remembering just JID's instrumental part. If you relisten to Fuel, JID's instrumental and Em's instrumental has different hi hats, with JID's being more in the background and Em's being pretty upfront and clean.
