Sep 19, 2024 The more I see comments on here the more I know eminem could top MMLP and The Eminem Show and people would say it's not replayable or not what they wanted
Sep 19, 2024 Only album I’ve played more front to back post hiatus is Recovery and those were different times.
Sep 19, 2024 Space Bound is one of the few times on recovery I can deal with Eminem’s singing. In fact that song still sounds fresh today. One of my favorite more pop leaning songs on recovery
Sep 19, 2024 Eminem is my favorite rapper and I love when he screams in my ears. But god, I wanna stick nine inch nails in my eyelids everytime he tries to harmonize and sing
Sep 19, 2024 Recovery is a modern day classic and I think m2bmb will age well too. Not taking anything away from Tdoss - only em can combine fire flows with a therapy session. There’s nothing else out there like it.
Sep 19, 2024 The thing for me with eminem albums is in comparison to most other artists his albums(besides revival) is there way more replayable and seems like he puts way more little touches and puts more effort into the final product. A lot of other rappers (even some I like) get so much praise online and I'm like half their albums is full of garbage. So me calling Recovery a---, is on an eminem scale lol I totally see when Eminem talks about his bar being another level than other rappers. People call mediocrity from other rappers good, if em puts out an average album its considered trash.
Sep 19, 2024 He can harmonize a little that's why his own hooks are dope most of the time but indeed he can't sing for s---.
Sep 19, 2024 I'ma be honest, I don't really like Houdini. Not really messing with the choppy flows and it just never grew on me at all. The hook is fine though.
Sep 19, 2024 They are replayable, but they're sorely lacking in terms of an "experience." Em really lacks with sticking to a theme, aesthetic, vibe, whatever you'd like to call it and can't really produce an Alfredo, a RTJ4, and definitely not a MMTBS.
Sep 19, 2024 I thought Eminem was just taking artistic liberties to make it funnier when mentioning Diddy using a dildo. Apparently he had a giant collection, he was a freakazoid
Sep 19, 2024 Because BET is racist honestly. I know it is Black Entertainment Television, but let's imagine the uproar there would be if there was a station called White Entertainment Televison and they only gave awards to White people. It goes both ways, in my book. I don't understand how they cry about the Grammys or whatever having mostly white winners and then do this s---.....
Sep 19, 2024 This is a severe misunderstanding of systemic racism and how it affects everything from politics to the culture around us, which includes music, television, and the entertainment industry as whole. They're very interwined together. Don't be mad at a celebration for black and brown artists, be mad at the powers at be that caused that divide to happen.
Sep 19, 2024 Also I want you to think about that statement for a minute. Whether BET exists or not doesn't affect how the Grammys behave towards black artists.
Sep 19, 2024 Until we don't have channels or separation type things like this nothing will ever change. But hey I'm not on social media so I also don't think rioting and setting buildings on fire after a couple cops do something bad is a great way to solve things either
Sep 19, 2024 The thing is, this is still operating under the false assumption that these type of channels fuel the racial divide. Whether BET exists or not will only hinder or help the amount of black artists and actors featured on television and whatever else they do. It will not affect the status quo nor will it affect how black people are treated IN GENERAL in the overarching entertainment industry. It's not like BET spawned out of nowhere and decided, "Black people matter more than white people! We should make an organization dedicated to that!" These type of things have heavy racial backgrounds.
