Oct 2, 2024 Such a shame he has wasted the visuals on 3 generic songs that don’t need videos, what so ever. The album is a concept album so why is he wasting visuals on songs that don’t fit the theme and are some of the worst songs on the album. Pointless. Having good videos and visuals adds to the overall theme of the album and feel to it, so this takes a notch down on the album. Houdini one of his best ever videos and a great song. Perfect for the album and video adds to it even more. Shame.
Oct 2, 2024 The people interested in the concept are gonna be buying/streaming regardless, they are locked in just based on that. Singles are meant to garner new followers. 1st single = Generates hype for the album and the concept with a fire flow over a popular mainstream song = casuals getting curious about upcoming album. 2nd single = Collaboration with other rappers garnering a wider appeal + inspirational while still being slightly polarizing (top 5) - again this gets the interest of those outside the core audience. 3rd single = It’s ems album and he can do what he wants + it’s his daughter + might bring in some who are not into him because they think he’s only a dickhead so they havent checked out the album yet. Singles are all about marketing - not about what the hardcore fan interested in shady vs Marshall wants the singles to be + why give away the most important parts of the album? Makes no sense. You wanna know what happens then buy the album or stream all the songs.
Oct 2, 2024 That would all make sense theoretically, but Somebody Save Me and Tobey have done awful in every metric, so it’s all pointless. Temporary will do exactly the same. Won’t garner any attention other than emotional Stan accounts that think they’re part of his life.
