Oct 3, 2024 The real ones knew this already, but hopefully the rest of you now realize how good TDOSS is as an album. This video officially cements it as a classic. 30 years from now the top 3 most remembered Eminem albums will be MMLP, TES, and TDOSS.
Oct 3, 2024 I just realized that the Cold Wind Blows baseline is the same as Yoke The Joker by Naughty By Nature....one of Em's favorite songs.
Oct 3, 2024 I don’t think he’s retiring but god d---, this video and the album as a whole really would be the perfect send off. His career is tied up beautifully right now
Oct 3, 2024 Yes, definitely intentional as well. Like Cold Wind Blows, Yoke the Joker is also the intro track of the album. Deja Vu also has the same baseline although it hits a bit differently
Oct 3, 2024 It's a shame Em forgot the "music" part in rap music. His approach now is talking over a beat with uneven pauses. Neglecting the flow and musicality that make songs engaging. Which kills the replay value. Doesn't help that the content of this song is played out and sounds like it could've been on Revival.
Oct 3, 2024 Temporary as a song (regardless of the 10/10 music video), is way over hated. It’s poetry and MFers are just mad they can’t bump their head to it. FOH
Oct 3, 2024 Temporary has one of the best choruses on the entire album. Fools saying it’s not musical enough. Lmfao
Oct 3, 2024 Cuz he can still outsell 99% of the game and the fans want more. Not every album has to be a masterpiece, but I do agree this would be a great one to end on
Oct 3, 2024 Fits in better with revival or a retirement album. I know he has more in the vault but I’m hearing this might be it. You can’t really follow that up unless you do something completely fresh and new with just as much fire.
Oct 3, 2024 f--- that lame justification. It's music, he always made music engaging on any topic. He has the talent, so he shoulda remade it until so. And it's also just poorly written, very uninteresting. The chorus and vibe are beautiful but wasted.
Oct 3, 2024 Funniest thing is Benzino really tried to start a rap war with Eminem right before Death of Slim Shady. Lmfao History repeats itself again, another biggest albums of the year and another peak for Eminem’s success career, just like The Eminem Show era. How does that man take L’s for 22 years straight
Oct 3, 2024 Wouldn't have hit the same - and when people look back years later it helps to explain the death of slim shady. Whether he drops another album or not I think this was his way of putting her over his career - by having her be the final single on this album.
Oct 3, 2024 Honestly though @Marsh this Drake song goes hard in the whip, one of the better ones out of his new ones.
Oct 3, 2024 Still wish this was the official track list: The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grace) 1. Trouble 2. Brand New Dance 3. Evil 4. All You Got (skit) 5. Lucifer (feat. Sly Pyper) 6. Antichrist (feat. Bizarre) 7. Fuel (feat. JID) 8. Road Rage (feat. Dem Jointz & Sly Pyper) 9. Houdini 10. Breaking News (skit) 11. Guilty Conscience 2 12. Head Honcho (feat. Ez Mil) 13. Temporary (feat. Skylar Grey) The Death of Slim Shady (Mourner’s B-Side) 1. Renaissance 2. Habits (feat. White Gold) 3. Steve Berman (skit) 4. Kyrie & Luka (feat. 2 Chainz) 5. Jelly Roll)
Oct 3, 2024 I liked Temp first spin... wasn't my favorite. Tobey and head hancho are the only songs I don't like and perhaps hh could grow on me. And even me not liking Tobey there's parts of the song that get stuck in my head
