Of course I did! The second half was exactly how everyone has been expecting and anticipating Real Madrid to be since the start of this season...hopefully now they are so awake. I had no doubt they were going to comeback when they were 0-2 down. I was having flashbacks of the comeback against Liverpool (2-5) as soon as they equalized.

This game showed all our strengths and weaknesses in one go. We've had a lot of structural issues with the midfield having to cover more ground than ever while our forward line doesnt do the best job at pressing, so teams are able to cut through us way too easily -- Julian Brandt was having the time of his life floating in between all those lines and moving the ball around without having to worry about a marker that messed up trying to win the ball back up higher up the pitch. Our fullbacks didnt have their best day on defense and we got killed on those two goals as a result of it, it felt like deja vu for a bit since we also didn't get to score in that 1st half and the same issues Ive seen all season long haunted us again....

Then that 2nd half happened, like you said I knew the moment if we can score we were gonna flip this thing around! A lot more intensity and far better positioning with the counter-press, Vini started winning his duels and then Sahin did us a huge favor taking out Gittens who was a constant outlet on the left side, pinning Lucas back and killing us on the transition. Now that he was gone, LV found a lot more space and then the goals just started pouring in, then Sahin threw in Emre Can at RB vs Vini and the rest is history lmao. How the Classico goes is beyond me, it all depends which Madrid from either side shows up for that game, should be a good one hopefully!

@Fire Squad uhh god... this occasional 0-4 defeat to Barcelona. Embarrassing and shameful considering how the squad is stacked with stars and rightfully should be an invincible squad. Where do I even start?

Tell me about it bro, I didnt wanna think about the game anymore

Its hard for me to process how we couldn't expose their high line off-side trap with a team that has Vinicius Jr and Kylian Mbappe, in any other circumstance that 1st half should have been a bloodbath with the risks they were taking. Our forwards made uncharacteristic bad runs and we took for granted all the opportunities they granted us, the game should have been dead going into half time, no excuses.

2nd Half, Hansi Flick brought in a better ball-progressor and they started finding a lot more outlets of playing the ball out while our press and overall loose team shape suffered, we committed too many lines to push up to win the ball back and got punished for it, case in point that 1st goal where they looked for the blindside and knew that playing anything behind LV was gonna be the key exploitation. We switched off defensively for the rest of the game and didnt score, theres a lot of structural issues; horrible press shape to never winning the ball, too much isolation ball to Vini to conjure something from nothing, we don't create enough from the midfield cause we keep trying to play from deeper positions hoping Mbappe or Vini can run behind, our fullbacks are in poor form / injured. I love Carlo for all hes done for us, but I do hope this is the last season and more so that we wake up by February when the season matters, we just need to make it there in one piece cause this result really sucks

Sorry for the late reply! That award has been a joke throughout the Messi-Ronaldo era so I havent given a d--- about it, this one is probably the 2nd dumbest one since Lewandowski got robbed a few years back. If we're gonna go by their criteria, then Carvajal should have won this award...

It is what it is, I hope for our teams sake after the Clasico loss and now this, they finally get their s--- together and unleash their frustrations for the rest of the season

Clearly Ancelotti is running out of ideas, but how the heck can you run out of ideas when you have a team stacked with talented skilled stars? make it make sense.
