Nov 24, 2024 Honestly I put the whole Tdoss era in the same category as Revival - a sad display of how lame this guy has become. Very Sad that this is how he will be remembered.
Nov 24, 2024 Crazy how Kendrick ended Drake who is the biggest music artist besides Taylor Swift. And Eminem went after ICP, Benizino MGK, and Ja Rule Just shows how fearless Kendrick is and how lame Eminem is when it comes to beef. Kendrick is diabolical man...pure crazy.
Nov 25, 2024 Don’t count the guy out yet. He can drop boring albums just like Kendrick he’s been doing it just as well.
Nov 25, 2024 He only has to work on making a good album now, cause last 2 are only good for sleeping. And d---. was mad overrated
Nov 25, 2024 ICP, Benzino, MGK and Ja Rule are all more talented and more battle worthy than Drake and that’s saying something as they are all garbage but Drake is the worst of the worst. Soft as a brush and makes utter s---, cringe music.
Nov 25, 2024 Em also outlasted everyone he had issues with, pop or rap. The only one still around is Mariah, and That’s only during Christmas lol
Nov 25, 2024 No encore 20 anniversary edition No shady xv 10 year edition with explicit version on spotify. Meh
Nov 25, 2024 A lot of people say the album is tame but if you knew the history of Slim Shady and you know the album The Slim Shady LP well then you'd know it's actually on par with the character. It's actually a great follow up to The Slim Shady LP. The only difference is the album isn't full of really personal grievances he had with his family. You can't expect him to fake that and with some talking about the F slue for gay people, that was never a Slim Shady thing. That was a Marshall Mathers thing and only really began being used on the Marshall Mathers LP. Was used only once on The Eminem Show, wasn't used at all on Encore and was used once on Relapse. Once on Recovery. Later on when he became rappity rap and especially round the MMLP2 time he used it again ....to tie in with the original Mathers LP. It makes sense for him not to use that word on this album and collectively......there's only been two periods in his music cycle where he really did use that word and they were around both Mathers LPs. People need to remember Slim Shady is a character. He was 100% true to that character.
Nov 25, 2024 elton is literally his sponsor. em just points out stupidity. people who think he discriminates against anyone are f---ing r-----s
Nov 25, 2024 Yeah Stan’s wanting him to say f-- again are so annoying. Also the whole concept of the album went over some Stan’s heads. Like it’s about him being pulled in to directions of fame. Some fans what him to be wild and controversial but at the same time tell him to act his age and make music with mature messages. I think this was the best way to bring shady back without being just a nostalgia cash grab. It shows why he can’t be shady anymore because he is 50 and it’s cringe, but he still gave long time fans what they wanted. This was the best way to make a legacy album while not giving overboard silly and making another Encore
Nov 25, 2024 Absolutely and I think for a lot of people maybe it wasn't wild enough and they really wanted him to go for celebrities and pop stars and maybe that's all to come....I just think it's very true to Slim Shady. Another thing I don't get is the hate for Road Rage. Making fun of fat people is again pure Slim Shady and there's a dig at Lizzo in there so that's Slim Shady too and if you didnt know Dr Dre produced that beat and I told you the Bass Brothers made it, would you believe me? Those drums? That horn or flute or what that sound is ....would that not fit on the Slim Shady LP? That beat would not sound out of place at all on The Slim Shady LP. The only minor gripe I have is he uses his Eminem Show voice on it. But as far as content and the beat, it's a complete throwback. The fact he still says the F word in his live shows means he isn't afraid to say it but maybe it shows just how much those lyrics are thought out. The songs he's performing might be a good 25 years old but the fact he performs them live today with that word shows the attention to detail he had. He chose it for a reason. It made a statement at the time. His peak of Eminem Show 8 Mile and Encore it was used once ....at least in all the material we have heard. If those 3 albums and all the amazing features we got and all the amazing diss tracks we got don't tell the critics who he really is, nothing will. Even during his reinvention with Relapse, an album dedicated to shock....he mentioned it once and on the very last song. Hopefully we get more material soon.
Nov 25, 2024 great assessment tbh. and usually after this much of a wait he drops 2 albums, relapse+recovery, hts+lp2, xv+sp, rev+kami, a+b. i expect another album by next december
