Dec 11, 2024 Naw. That s--- is actually wild af. I'm amazed there hasn't been more chaos already. Even with the level it's at and if you create the right picture with no visible flaws... I'm surprised there hasn't already been like, false stories printed, false scandals, s--- like this. That's def coming.
Dec 11, 2024 writing a reply to your other post rn, but just wanted to say everyone knows em isn’t anywhere near this good at taking selfies
Dec 11, 2024 I agree. A.i. is barely regulated, and that’s why there was that actors and writers strike last year. But I can see next year there being Presidential level scandals and events around A.I.
Dec 11, 2024 God the Eminem chat in here has reached an all time low. Everyone should be discussing my edits, ranking them and anticipating the next one even more than the next Eminem song.
Dec 11, 2024 @Disorderly Progress >Yeah very strange @ the terrible writing of 'Revival', when as you say... right by it we had 'All I Think About', which is just fkn insane top tier lyricism and rapping, right before it. i think about this a lot. no pun intended. the only conclusion i can reach is that he was going out of his way to try to not sound like that anymore. but i think he shot himself in the foot (pun also not intended) trying to “reinvent the wheel,” in his words, every time he drops a record >And I believe it's bc he rush-made a bunch of s-----y tracks to try please people last min (expanded on below), which is why the writing is rushed and we can all recognise those songs and they're the ones that don't fit... couldn’t agree more, and i think rubin’s shoddy, overbearing production is even more evidence of this. it completely lacks that trademark crispness he’s famous for. seems like he wrote (actually i hope some of those verses are freestyles because otherwise oof) and recorded what he thought was sumn that didn’t sound like any other eminem album, because i think he thought that’s what people wanted. fortunately he realized how wrong he was >But the ones which feel like they were actually made for an/thee album and part of the original style @ Believe, Chlora even, Arose... they're all well written, in the case of 'Believe' & 'Arose'... really well written, and it doesn't make sense about all those tracks which are just so off. i’m convinced like i mentioned that songs like believe and a couple others were from the original album he was working on after mmlp2, because they’re much closer in tone and subject matter to rap god knd phenomenal etc than they are to the rest of revival. that “b---- i wrote stan” outro on wow made me super hype for the album plus relapse trevor promoting it etc. and believe totally delivered on that but the rest of the album is a complete toaster fire except for a few track. and on a 20sum track album im sorry but that’s inexcusable this far into his career >I agree 'Believe' and I think... even 'Walk on Water', I think 'Untouchable' (even though I know a lot don't like it, it's still well written IMO), um, 'Chloraseptic', 'Offended', 'Arose' < I think all of these were the 'original' 'Revival', and there's a religious theme going on between 'Believe', 'Walk on Water', 'Arose', and, the rap style / tonality of 'Chlora', 'Believe' & 'Walk on Water', and 'Offended' tbh... all sound at home together... this is absolutely my theory. goes along with the reports of scrapped 2016 album. we’ll prolly never know the truth of the behind the scenes on this one like we at least somewhat do for encore >I THINK, and this is just a theory obviously but I'd love to put it to Em to find out; I think Em used the 'No Favours' verse as a preview of the 'Revival' style. That verse is also similar to 'Believe', like, the writing of it, it just feels he was in that same bag. Then that verse got f---ing TRASHED. And We know what Em does when that happens, he panics and changes s---... i think many of his features including this one and the pre-tdoss features would’ve been better received if they were solo previews of the album style, ala oh no, despicable and symphony in h, as opposed to being used for jobbing of mumble rappers like he’s f---ing john cena >I think that verse got so trashed, and he had a bunch of other s--- on the album just like it, and he was like 'oh f---', so then I think he rush made a bunch of tracks to try and mirror 'Recovery' ('Nowhere Fast', 'Like Home', 'Bad Husband') and MMLP2 ('Heat', 'Remind Me'), and then just bc maybe he was doing that 'f--- it, leme try a 'Relapse' track too!' @ 'Framed', and he just quickly tried to please everybody in a panic. i loved the extended version of nowhere fast but he was literally adding random new verses to it right until kami dropped lol. but i really love the violins and the way he rides that beat. arose is super emotional but feels like mockingbird lite. and like home, bad husband, heat, remind me (i LOVE joan jett) and the rest of the album apart from the tracks i screenshotted are literally unlistenable to me >Because he does do that @ verses just before the album to preview the style to fans and test our reaction. He did it with 'Richard' before MMLP2 and then even thanked everybody's response to the verse, like it was validation for what he had done/what he was making for MMLP2 as he was doing it... i’ll always remember the day richard dropped. there’s sumn so refreshing and bright and summery about that track. it’s an absolute joy to listen to from the beat to his delivery to the humor and imagery. i love that song >But the 'No Favours' verse... got fkn trashed. And it was really only bc he listed s--- in that segement, but I think overall the verse is fire... "Go ham donut or go Rambo, gotta make an example of her! That's for Sandra Bland ho and Philando Hannibal on the lamb, no wonder I am so stubborn I'm anti, can't no government handle a commando Your man don't want it, Trump's a b----!" those rhymes are great but the whole list segment reminded me of “and don’t ask what the squeegee’s for” when he made lists ironically instead of to fill out verses >And this style is like 'Believe' like I said, but containing political s---, Trump s---... which was the visual / apparent theme of the album, and I know it has 'Nowhere Fast' and 'Like Home', but the writing of those is s-----y and feels rushed, they're rushed [insert hook], attempted cookie cutter tracks. I think he remade them vs. what he had. Just for the style. like home is a---, but i like the “like a parrot and repeats” and “you ‘ate off’ hitler” lines. but i actually don’t hate the awfully hot coffee pot line. the “in hot water” metaphor went over a lot of people’s heads >Em's so insecure man, that's really... 2 albums he's ruined by just f---ing with em from fan reactions/a circumstance @ Encore/bc even though some leaked... so what? So that means it's better to have the 'surprise' of a bunch of nonsense? Shoulda just left it, and it woulda been a solid 7.5/10 album again, with the joke section replaced with the bonus disc and sftl encore is a 10/10. but yall can only blame yourselves for that one tbh. i think he handled it pretty well. better than we would on 110 valium a day >then, if I'm right - 'Revival', because I believe he had it fully threaded between politics and his personal @ Revival of him, and America, and all in a family of sounds/styles like the tracks we mentioned... All the bs tracks, sound like phoned-in, rushed, cookie cutter or imitator tracks, like, forced. And we could all tell. I honestly think that's what he did. because that is what he did. >But yeah, great point about TDOSS too I forgot @ no random love tracks! FINALLY. I just thought 150% there is NO way, 0 way he ever makes an album again without bs random love songs! He even did it on Kamikaze, like, WHY. Who are these for! Lmao. Women don't love em, they ain't hits, apart from LTWYL, and, men don't like em, so I don't really know why he keeps doing them like an obligation lol... But I was so fkn happy when I realised there was 0 of that s--- on TDOSS. i almost don’t even wanna reply to this because you already said it better than i could. i didn’t mind songs like buffalo bill, 25 to life, so much better, never love again, because it’s very obvious he’s talking about his job/other rappers. but songs like river remind me bad husband tragic endings heat normal black magic fav b---- she loves me those kinda nights in 2 deep farewell and all the useless features in the same style are honestly embarrassing to try to explain to people. idk wtf he was thinking but i could not be more glad he outgrew that f---ing phase. my hopes are very high and i expect a pt2 to this album within a year or so. hype af tbh
