Jan 3, 2025 Ja Rule and 50 Cent‘s long-running feud refuses to fizzle out, with the former Murder Inc. rapper relishing his old foe’s Las Vegas residencyreceiving a particularly harsh review. A video from popular Sin City influencer Vegas Star Fish went viral this week and finds her trashing 50’s ongoing residency, describing it as possibly “the worst show that’s ever come to Vegas. In the minute-long clip, which features footage of one of 50’s recent performances, Star Fish criticizes the rapper for his production and sound quality, seemingly robotic stage movements and overbearing hypemen. “I’ve seen 50 Cent perform in warehouses in Memphis, TN (where I’m from) decades ago and it was pure magic. His limited time residency in Las Vegas was the opposite of that,” she wrote on Instagram. The sound was balanced poorly making it impossible to hear the performance. His hypemen were unrelenting and overbearing making it difficult to hear anything but their echos. The stage design and graphics felt like they were organized 15 minutes before the show with a Chat GPT prompt for ’90’s hip hop images.’ “During the build up to this show, 50’s publicists suggested this would be an unforgettable night full of surprises and energy. The only surprise was the lack of energy. There was almost no crowd engagement, the calls for an ‘encore’ began 63 minutes into the performance and he returned to do another 15 minutes before unceremoniously leaving the stage without so much as a Thank You.” Star Fish concluded: “This was the worst live performance, for any artist, I’ve ever attended. I understand that he’s successful and doesn’t need a residency, so why do it if he doesn’t want to put any effort into it?” Ja Rule caught wind of the scathing post and didn’t hesitate in piling misery on 50 Cent, writing on X (formerly Twitter): “Not the worst… [crying face emojis] #ICONN.” https://x.com/itsavibe/status/1874138824466681991
Jan 3, 2025 I've watched some videos and even if he was performing huge songs, it felt meh, and having a wannabe Yayo when you have a great hype man is completely stupid, no one cares about that guy, it's like when he adopted Kidd s--- for no reason...
Jan 3, 2025 The bar is extremely low for rap performances these days. Nobody really puts on a good show anymore except for a few standouts like Travis Scott. No wonder ticket sales for a lot of these rappers are low. You’re better off just staying at home and listening to their music there especially with the crazy ticket prices.
Jan 3, 2025 I love 50 and his music but never thought he could do a residency to be honest… not sure if he has a fan base like other residency artists…Mariah Carey? Madonna? Britney Spesrs? Celine dion? Bigger fan base and Pop music Not sure how other genres and artists do in their Vegas residences either…I’m assuming not as well…maybe I’m wrong either way 50 getting paid…$$$
Jan 3, 2025 Except for Eminem, He breaking his limbs, in foreign nations Performing in Saudi Arabian colosseum’s You wanna pack Stadiums? Quit daydreaming b---- 10 minutes on stage for slim is, The equivalent of ez Mil in Las Vegas Speaking Arabic to tourist Translation; assalam the patriots Brady’s back; the Head Honcho of Rap So if you don’t wanna Get Capped I advise Ja not to react
Jan 3, 2025 You know pop stars got dancers and s---. This looks so empty and 50 is still out of shape. See this? This is why she's the GOAT.
Jan 3, 2025 Ahhh right exactly. That makes sense… 50 still a legend to me…but the crowd going to these Vegas residencies are not typical 50 true fans…just casual fans of his…either way it’s a nice paycheck for 50….guaranteed money for all these artists who do Vegas residencies but you’re right 50 heart isn’t in it anymore…he doesn’t care about music and performing…he likes the money that comes with it
Jan 4, 2025 50 cent has the biggest fall off in rap i’ve ever seen, like he honestly sounds like he forgot how to rap.
Jan 6, 2025 https://x.com/ArtOfDialogue_/status/1875708270876467232 50 Cent responds to backlash about the audio at his Las Vegas residency.
Jan 6, 2025 can't be serious "Those numbers are massive without qualification, but they are monumental in hip-hop. No solo rapper has ever sold that many tickets on one tour. Previously, Jay-Z cracked two million while co-headlining the On the Run II Tour with Beyoncé in 2018. The only other unaccompanied rapper to report more than a million tickets on a single tour is 50 Cent on last year’s The Final Lap Tour (1.1 million), celebrating the 20-year anniversary of Get Rich or Die Tryin.’" https://www.billboard.com/pro/travi...hest-selling-tour-solo-rapper-circus-maximus/
Jan 7, 2025 50 always s----d at performing live. And sounds nothing like his records but makes a boat load of money doing these shows so good for him.
