Jan 13, 2025 I don’t see a lot of people mention this, but I think the success of his Forever verse was the beginning of his downfall and him really digging into the rippity rap s---. For the longest time all anyone talked about with Forever was how Eminem out rapped everyone else on there. Ever since then pretty much all of his features were trying to outrap the other people on the song, sacrificing the musicality. He sees a thing get successful and then he keeps doing that thing until everyone is tired of it.
Jan 13, 2025 No way lol. Em probably clicked on some phishing email like “click here for exclusive Lions merch”
Jan 13, 2025 What's diff about it. Sounds like they just added some echo to make it sound demo-ey lol. Same lyrics, verses, hook. Also, great personal song. So much better written than like 'Somebody Save Me' and 'Temporary'. Which is crazy.
Jan 13, 2025 and as soon as he gets s--- for it, he does a 180º talk about a yellow belly (thank god he changed course after Revival tho)
Jan 13, 2025 Em on Trade Off is p terrible. Thas arguably his worst style, that 014 bunched-up babbling s---.
Jan 13, 2025 So dope. Some of these I'll probably never listen to again but a handful are really cool tbh
Jan 13, 2025 "Smack You" is that "Soldier" type of s---, the type of s--- that makes you wanna pick up a car with your bare hands
Jan 13, 2025 Maybe getting it in early 2000 yes But hearing this for the first time in 2025 is just different man
Jan 13, 2025 I think it's better, slightly. But yeah ppl def overreacting / rating a bit, probably just the contrast of hearing a song from that era now. But Nail in the Coffin, Bully, The Sauce... all better. Not even Em's best diss.
