Jan 14, 2025 This argument would make more sense if we were talking about work in progress of a new album But, violated? Over 20+ year old recordings? Come on lmao
Jan 14, 2025 and we got all this s--- as intended at the time of recording, no censoring or weird unnecessary changes
Jan 14, 2025 I think Renaissance being from 05 is cap. Writing is very modern Em. 'soon as I quit giving a f--- I started to sell a bit'... that's 100% 2024 Em. Actually I can see how the very opening segment is... the rhyming isn't as complex, and he's even talking about him dangling the baby over the balcony which was 04/05... weird. But from then on I think he carried on writing: You aren't tamin' it, sharp pain in the heart Aimin' a bar, chamber to carve names in it Start sprayin' and start ravin' on beats, stark ravin' it You're at arm's length, you're in harm's way of it 'Bout to show your a--- why I'm still a pain in it < That's modern Em. He wasn't writing like that then. But yeah weird he choose to go back to so much 04/05 s---... I bet it's because he can still do the tonality, bc we know much of the stuff was re-written and re-done, and not AI as some claim like on Antichrist. But, thas maybe why he didn't go back to 99/00 bc he probably can't do those tonalities. But that was true Slim Shady era not 04. But yeah maybe he went back to some s--- he knew he could re-do tonally, and to try get in the same mindset for the album.
Jan 14, 2025 Yeah the very opening bars about dangling a baby over the balcony? Makes sense, bc it's less complex, no puns, and is talking about an 04/05 event. So, maybe he started with s--- from then to get back into the vibe, and then kept writing... using it as a jumping off point, and I bet using 04/05 bc he knew he could still do that tonality, wheras maybe not 99/00. Why he used AI for those parts on it.
Jan 14, 2025 Does anyone know when the super drugged up deep voice started? I mean the "king mathers" leaks and s---, it seems to be post Proof's passing since most of this s--- from '05 doesn't sound like that at all
Jan 14, 2025 Did you not read I said the first verse meaning the opening is from 05. I didn’t say the whole song.
Jan 14, 2025 You do realize that was the point of death of slim shady right…. It’s a legacy album. Encapsulates all his era’s, flows with nostalgia.
Jan 14, 2025 You do realize that was the point of death of slim shady right…. It’s a legacy album. Encapsulates all his era’s content and flows with nostalgia. Evil and lucifer are Prime examples. He switches cadences back and forth on those tracks several times for that exact reason.

Jan 14, 2025 it doesn't bother me that he used previous tracks from unreleased material. if anything its cool that he called back to it and his roots.
Jan 14, 2025 I see this website is acting crazy for you too, but nah that’s all being stuck with old em. Mgk might’ve had a point when he said you want to be the old you so bad that you stan yourself
Jan 14, 2025 Like how did anybody get these leaks tho ? And waiting 30+ years to release them lol it's wild to me . Are we getting anymore leaks ?
Jan 14, 2025 Another thing I've just noticed - the Straight From The Lab 3 page on Genius is gone and all the songs are individually separated. I think Em's team don't want this known as Straight From The Lab 3 or something, seems odd why it'd get removed.
Jan 14, 2025 What f---ing downfall are we talking about here, genius? Relapse? f---ing cult classic. Refill? Dude, finest verses of that era. Recovery? Oh my f---ing god dude, this was bananas, brand new Em. Shady 2.0 era? Dude, we got some heavy lyrical masterminds on board - Eminem and Slaugterhouse and of course Yelawolf, which was peak artist of the label back then. MMLP2? Dude, his writing on this album was PEAK. I wish I could relive MMLP2 release era. ShadyXV and Southpaw? Eminem on his lyrical s---, but some songs were great (Fine Line, Guts Over Fear etc) Revival? Okay, this was meh, but still a very few dope songs on it. Kamikaze? Dude, do I have to say anything about it, dude? MTBMB both sides? Dude, Shady back on the right track. TDOSS? DUDE. THIS IS IT, EM IS BACK. DUDE DUDE DUDE.
