Jan 16, 2025 100%. And the only one who mirrored her since was... Liz Rodrigez, and also Jessie Reyz... And obvious why now, in retrospect - they all have this 'errie', croaky jazzy vibe to em. So that obviously is what works well with Em... But he doesn't seem to notice it and keeps chasing the Dido sound. Like, yeah that worked well once, with that sample, and that vibe, and his more subdued delivery and storytelling but, in general it sucks a---, whenever Skylar tries to replicate it. Well, not sucks total a---, 'Space Bound' is great, but it's worn out. That jazzy vibe fits his darkness way better.
Jan 16, 2025 Skylar grey can catch the whole clip, she was decent in 1 or 2 of their songs maybe but I can't stand how bland she is, it's not that she sucks, it's worse than that, being a NOTHING and making me feel NOTHING AT ALL with your voice is way way worse than being bad at it but at least putting some f---ing feeling into your singing
Jan 16, 2025 Agree with Liz Rodriguez although she seems a bit more "poppy" than Dina if that makes sense, nothing wrong with that in and of itself but the way Dina sounded seemed to fit better with Em's style (especially back then) the way they did the hooks together was always great (Superman and p---- Like Me come to mind) but I don't think there's a song with them together that I don't like (yeah "c-m On Everybody" too)
