It's not terrible by any means, it just did not grab me or keep my attention like the other albums did. It felt slower, despite it being his shortest album to date, and it just did not hit as hard. I can def see how some people like it, and some people hate it. After hearing bits and pieces of his performance at Rolling Loud last night with the new snippets and the recent features, I feel like DON'T BE DUMB will be a big return to form for Rocky (whenever it drops). Mar 24, 2025 1999 - Joey Bada$$ Score: 90 One of those albums that has been on my list for the longest, but here we are finally. 1999 is a extremely dope mixtape and I see why it is regarded as one of the best mixtapes ever. The rapping throughout the 15 tracks (yes, I sought out Don't Front due to it not being on Spotify) is phenomenal, which is what I expected from Joey due to tracks I have heard by him and featuring him previously. Obviously, the boom bap old school production goes hard, and I found myself nodding my head to the various beats throughout. Super excited to hear these next few albums and RIP STEEZ!

I know Joey has better rapping performances, so this project just felt a bit below his standards, especially coming off 1999. Not terrible by any means, just not great like 1999. No misses yet again for me, but did not hit the highs of 1999 for me. Also, I have always loved this album name lol. Mar 31, 2025 ALL-AMERIKKKAN BADA$$ - Joey Bada$$ Score: 95 Wow, this album is great. Def my favorite from Joey yet. The rapping and production is incredible, and the message of the album is powerful. Every track stands out, but some major highlights to me are TEMPTATION, DEVASTATED, Y U DON'T LOVE ME (MIS AMERIKKKA), ROCKABYE BABY, and LEGENDARY. Enjoyed all the features, but it was especially dope to see ScHoolboy Q and Cole on here. I can easily see this album going to a 10/10 for me. Joey Bada$$ Ranked: 1. Apr 2, 2025 From here on out, I'll be going back and forth between new visits and revisits, alternating with each discog. For example, after Joey, I will listen to Tyler, then I'll listen to TV Girl, then I'll listen to Eminem, so on and so forth. Feel like this works so it doesn't take forever to get to the revisits while also not disregarding the new visits. Listening to Joey's latest album tomorrow!
Apr 3, 2025 2000 - Joey Bada$$ Score: 85 While not as good as 1999, this sequel is still pretty good! Love the production on here and the features from JID and Westside Gunn. Also reminds me I need to tap into Larry June's music. Survivors Guilt was heavy, I can see how it has evoked so much emotion from people. Can't wait to see what Joey does next!
