Feb 14, 2025 I recently saw on a Reddit page that Antichrist had versions in 2003, 2005, in the Relapse era, in 2012-2013 and now in TDOSS. The 2005 and 2024 versions are true, but I think it's unlikely that there are versions from 2003, 2010 and 2012, even though the skit is reused in two songs.
Apr 16, 2025 Yes this info comes from Dope Edit aka Joseph Strange. & I don't know if he's commented on a 2012/2013 version but it seems likely it exists from the MMLP2 era snippet in the DoSS version of the song.
Apr 16, 2025 The 2003 version has the same first 2 verses as the 2005 version and an entirely new 3rd verse. The audio for this version ist available but the lyric sheet is with the lyrics to the 3rd verse. The Relapse version only has a few lines with accents. A part of the MMLP2 version is used on the 2024 version at the start of verse 2. The MMLP2 2 version sounds similar to the song So Much Better. The original version of Without Me was recorded in 2001 and had "the devil came from Michigan" line we hear on all versions at the start before it was replaced with "Obie Trice no names no gimmicks".
Apr 16, 2025 "the devil came to michigan" being from 2001 wouldn't surprise me. I said it sounded like '01 (but that the hook was Encore era) when DoSS dropped, before I heard anything about earlier versions of Antichrist, which is why I put it at the start of this remix: "iMaGiNe iF dEviLs kNiGhT wUz a sOlO aLbUm" ... imagine imagining it when you don't have to.
Apr 17, 2025 It is possible he sold some songs privately to individuals but he didn't have the 2003 version. Other songs dating from 2003 are The Apple and Everything I Do but the versions that leaked date from years later. The OG My Darling apparently has completely different lyrics. Stepping Stones beat was made in 2004 and was also revisited multiple times including for the MMLP2 album. This is when the Mario Resto sample was added to the beat. It too was scrapped then later brought back for the Shady XV album before being shelved and then being reworked again for Kamikaze. There are many songs with many versions. For those of you who wanted a lost tapes album from him...he's kinda been doing it for years. Whether you knew it or not.
Apr 17, 2025 i dont think that's actually confirmed? it says "the devil came from Michigan" (not to, which is the actual line) on the lyric sheet but i dont believe there's any more info than that? i'm probably wrong as usual though lol
Apr 17, 2025 Apparently it came from Joe. I know that word is wrong but I'm just copying from the info that's out there. As for the lyric sheet....I find it hard to read lol.
Apr 17, 2025 I don't want to post it publicly here after everything that's happened. I'll send to you in pm
Apr 17, 2025 with the bizarre skit at the end of the 05 version it’s interesting and kinda cool that he also wanted bizarre at the end of the tdoss version
