Apr 30, 2025 at 6:05 PM Jankland - A Night At The Section Eighty It's 2 in the morning. Had a busy day at the forum yesterday. Kanye dropped another s-----y album, and I had to make sure that @albumdrill didn't eat too much mayo, for his own good. I usually don't go to the club, but @Marsh dragged me to this new spot downtown called "The Section Eighty". Marsh went into the men's-only section as soon as we got there, so I decided to spend the time drinking for a bit. I miss my wife, even though I've never been married. As I sipped from my drink, I heard DJ Jankland announce the next set, known as A Night At The Section Eighty. Here are my thoughts. The Promise- Is this the Wii Sports Resort Theme? Jokes aside, I really enjoyed this track. It sounds familiar, but I’m not sure if I’ve actually heard it before. Great opener!!! Time After Time- Pretty decent track Only Time Will Tell-This song KICKS a--- The Rhythm of the Night-GTA 5 has drilled this song into my brain. Still great of course!!! Be My Lover- never heard this one, but it’s a great club track. I dig it!! Partyman- As a zoomer, this was the first Prince track I really fell in love with, so hearing it here is a treat. Fake- Those synths near the end are dope as h---. Great track My Prerogative- ANOTHER great club track. This is great What About Your Friends- I’m not familiar with TLC aside from No Scrubs, but this was incredible. Might be my favorite track on the whole thing tbh. Plastic Love- Ahhhh the YouTube classic. Great track as always. Never Too Much- Never Too Much?? Like Carti?????!!!! Great track once again. Might be tied with the TLC song for my top spot. Remember Summer Days- A very fun track, and it just like, sounds happy y’know. Smalltown Boy- This one was pretty good, but its probably my least favorite on the tape. Mayonaka no Door/ Stay With Me- Yet another great city pop track!!! My Flame- A pretty relaxed track, which is a good contrast, from everything that came before. Hounds of Love- This might be sacrilegious to some, but I've never really gotten into Kate Bush. This track was good, but something about Bush's music hasn't clicked with me, at least not yet. As "Hounds of Love" ended, I rose from my chair and left the club. The street was dead silent. Despite the tranquility of the night, one thing was certain: Jankland cooked on this tape. Making a primarily R&B/Club tape meant that this was a great time for me. I wasn't too into tracks 2, 13, or 16, but as a whole, I really enjoyed the tape. Big thanks to @jankland for the tape and yeah. FAVORITE TRACKS: Be My Lover, My Prerogative, What About Your Friends, Never Too Much Rating: 9/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Apr 30, 2025 at 6:07 PM Sidenote: We gotta give a shoutout to @Michael Myers for introducing the 80's theme, which we then expanded into including the 70's and 90's. I've been having an absolute blast with this round of mixtapes, and I can't wait to see what he, Jimmy, and Allis come up with
