Just seen it, actually had the most interesting conversations in marvel in a long time. Its not a masterpiece or anything but it's one of my favorite 3rd acts in a marvel movie in ages. I like when movies actually have a message and are thematically consistent

I mean I think it's being celebrated because it's a movie that felt like it was actually made by humans that had something to say which makes it automatically better than a lot of marvel stuff. Its your prerogative to look at the negatives but gathering that it's overhyped cause i personally said it wasn't a masterpiece is very funny

It's a very solid movie and I'm happy it's getting praise, maybe it could make marvel listen and they can be a bit more malleable on how to structure and write their movies

Best thing I can say about this movie is that it actually made me feel emotions lmao. It's largely a story about depression, trauma repression, suicidal ideation, regret in general, nihilism etc. All the big mental health s--- and I think it actually handled it with tact and in a relatable way to myself at least

Marvel made a movie that even the biggest MCU skeptics are calling thier best in years. The overall fandom is happy and hyped for the future of marvel. Highest reviews and acclaim a MCU movie has had in years…. And the funniest thing is Marsh hasn’t seen it and has no plan or watching it. How you gonna have such strong opinions about a film you ain’t see, even after everyone is telling you it’s greatness? Haha

anyways what I like most about the plot is that marvel actually focuses on one theme and didn’t try to go all over the place and juggle too many things like recent movies. There is no big multiverse shenanigans. It’s self-contained story and mainly about these characters and thier truama and depression. But still a lot of references to phase 4 & 5 events and characters, but don’t beat you over the head to know everything. I think the casual normie MCU fan could come into this and don’t even need to watch the Disney+ shows or black widow to be in the loop. I also like the one line reference to Brave new world. This is how a connected cinematic universe is supposed to feel. This is the closest they have come to recapture phase 3 saga vibes. Honestly. @DiggleDogg69 i think you will enjoy it like the rest of us
